Yeah but once that game comes out there will then be another called Ratchet & Clank, then another, then another.

Whilst GP will have another old gen game that runs at a higher frame rate or slightly higher visuals that is also on the PS5.

Housemarque games always sell poorly and Sony haven't exactly been giving Returnal the same treatment they give TLOU, Ratchet, Spidey or GoW from an advertising perspective, and it needs it way more than those established IP. I expect it to review well but sell badly. Preordered my copy months ago because it's Housemarque.

I'd very much like to play it but not at £70.
It wouldn't be so bad if they at least had a demo but a £70 title from a AA studio (as opposed to AAA).... I can't see it selling very well.

Finally watched some footage and i think that i'm gonna maintain my preorder.

The movements looks really slick.

I still need to watch some more footage to understand how power ups and progression between runs works but i'm 99,99% gonna be there for day one.

Hopefully the game is gonna have as many content as hades.

Game has massive potential to be a sleeper hit. played dead nation a couple of years ago and thought it was one of the best zombie twin stick shooter's. hoping this is a hit for the folks at Housemarque games. guys are top notch when it comes to fun arcadey gameplay. btw for those wondering who's selene's facial capture is based on.

Gameplay in Control looked boring to me until I sat down and played it, and I fell in love with that game. This is giving me similar vibes.

Feel like so much of modern gaming throws stuff at you, these huge worlds, checklists of things to do, all this stuff, when a game comes out that is just killing bad guys, it tends to get overlooked. But done well, that style of game can be just as good as a 60 hour cinematic shooter.

I'm looking forward to having a state of the art shiny arcade style shooter with a unique setting and story. Visually I feel like this is going to be a real treat.

I think the model just looks bad. In certain scenes she looks fine and in others she looks like a bobble-head Jane Lynch or some male comedian I'm blanking on. Her head is way too big for a female.

This is like seeing a red carpet photo of Leonardo Di Caprio and then asking why he looked like such a hobo in The Revenant.

I don't care if Leo is ugly in The Revenant.

After seeing some of the footage I wonder what made people think roguelites are only 20$ games. There seems to be quite the production level with this one. I'm curious to see if it's worth the MSRP.

Souls games are technically rouguelikes, those are your triple A our double A production standard for the genre i would say.
