I turned 16 last September, and got a job almost as soon as I could, I never really had the disposable income as a child to buy my own systems, and to be honest I never had to because my parents were always willing to buy my games and systems, this year however is the first year I'm buying my own console. (Last year is the year I started paying for my own games, I bought Halo 4, Black Ops 2, and Sonic Generations with my own money, I felt proud

).
I honestly can still have my parents pay for my games and systems, but I want to start taking responsibility into my own hands, and want to get a feel for being an adult, so this year I've bought every single gaming related item with my own money I get from working my minimum wage job (I also pay rent in a way... give my parents about... $200 a month?), this year so far I bought The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider by myself, and paid off Saints Row IV, GTA V, and Forza Motorsport 5 by myself.
Xbox One will be the first console I personally pay for with my own money (my pre-order is mostly paid off... still need about $200 left, which I feel confident that I can pull before November) , and to be honest that's making it feel more special to me

Feels nice paying for my own things. I really am enjoying the experience of getting a feel for growing up, having to pay for my own food, entertainment, and activities. (and yes, I am saving money on the side, not all being blown towards games)
Kind of a long, personal and maybe meaningless post, but just felt like sharing.
