First Fight Night 360 reviews?

When can we expect them? I really want to know whether this game will be worth my gaming dollars. New EGM/Game Informer?

I know the game was delayed, but will its reviews still coincide with those of the current gen. versions?

Yeah, I'm bored.

Yeah, the problem is likely more related to my TV, but since the problem itself makes no sense I figured I would try to get a free replacement 360 out of the whole deal.

And I can't play the demo on a system that's not here.

Presumably you don't absolutely need the game right away though? When you get it back just check out the demo is what I'm getting at :)

If you have GameSpot Complete, we just posted three new Fight Night Round 3 videos available in full 720p (video runs at 59.94fps for accurate representation of game since X360 720p output is 59.94)...

Peeps want full 720p HD videos, you are gonna get them!

If you don't have GSC, 480x272 MPEG is downloadable along w/ some streams.

can you actually drive that dodge in the game?

So what does the Game Informer review say (if anything) about the animation, "punch impact", and other aspects people complained about before.

I'm talking about the 360 version, of course.

Holy crap, do they advertise 'Dodge' that heavily the whole game? Cause first they show off the car, then you see banners for dodge everywhere, then even the announcer goes "this fight is brought to you by... Dodge, ride your blah blah blah".

Looks good, but doesnt seem much different than the last version. Are they ever going to put a ref in the ring?

From earlier pictures I've seen, the Burger Kings ads are just as bad.

What's with all the advertising? Dodge? The King? Were the other FN games like this?

All of that advertising probably helped lower the development costs of the game. Its too bad that none of the savings were passed onto consumers. They are still charging $60 for this game even with the advertisements. Didn't EA say that having in-game advertisements would keep game prices from going up? Or was that Ubisoft?

Development costs have risen, so in order to you know, keep up with them, in game advertising is definitely going to help on that end. But as far as the consumer is concerned, we're going to get f****d from all angles possible, I'd imagine.

You believe EA's bullshit a little too much. The $60 they are charing for next gen games is more than enough to make up for extra development costs.

DaveT, the game is 30FPS isn't it?

Personally am not sure, but no matter how fast a game runs, the Xbox 360 720p output is 59.94fps...if the game is running at 30fps, then it's still sending it through a 59.94fps signal.

With that, the HD clips we put up from the X360 are put up at the same output the X360 gives...59.94...so if there is slowdown in the game, it's accurately represented in the clip. If the game runs a silky smooth 60fps, it's accurately represented. It's about trying to accurately represent a game.

Well if the game runs at 30 (or 29.97) fps then each frame is doubled. You could just drop half the frames, and it would still help a lot with the compression. Since you capture an analog signal each frame is always very slightly different than the other one, so the codec has to make a lot of minute adjustments to quite a few of macroblocks. In my experience encoding at 30 fps game at 60 fps adds 15-20 more % to the end file size.
It's also much more processor/GPU intensive to play a 60 fps video, whatever the "real" framerate inside.
