DaveT said:If you have GameSpot Complete, we just posted three new Fight Night Round 3 videos available in full 720p (video runs at 59.94fps for accurate representation of game since X360 720p output is 59.94)...
Peeps want full 720p HD videos, you are gonna get them!
If you don't have GSC, 480x272 MPEG is downloadable along w/ some streams.

Baron Aloha said:What's with all the advertising? Dodge? The King? Were the other FN games like this?
All of that advertising probably helped lower the development costs of the game. Its too bad that none of the savings were passed onto consumers. They are still charging $60 for this game even with the advertisements. Didn't EA say that having in-game advertisements would keep game prices from going up? Or was that Ubisoft?

Smilebit said:DaveT, the game is 30FPS isn't it?
Well if the game runs at 30 (or 29.97) fps then each frame is doubled. You could just drop half the frames, and it would still help a lot with the compression. Since you capture an analog signal each frame is always very slightly different than the other one, so the codec has to make a lot of minute adjustments to quite a few of macroblocks. In my experience encoding at 30 fps game at 60 fps adds 15-20 more % to the end file size.DaveT said:Personally am not sure, but no matter how fast a game runs, the Xbox 360 720p output is 59.94fps...if the game is running at 30fps, then it's still sending it through a 59.94fps signal.
With that, the HD clips we put up from the X360 are put up at the same output the X360 gives...59.94...so if there is slowdown in the game, it's accurately represented in the clip. If the game runs a silky smooth 60fps, it's accurately represented. It's about trying to accurately represent a game.
