The headshot made me think they should have gone with Lang, but he does look a bit younger in the full body shot, so fair enough if that's where they're going with it. At the end of the day whether the casting has been a good choice will be down to the chemistry between them and Reynolds on camera. Brolin seems like a decent egg, so hopefully it'll be a fun watch.

I spent so long trying to figure out how many different guns that thing is cobbled together from before I gave up and realized that it absolutely fits for a character created by Rob Liefeld, the man who loves guns but has somehow never actually seen one in real life.

If there's going to be any Liefeld homage, I want it to be that the barrel of the gun has like a 5-degree curve to it that you only really notice if you look directly at it from the right angle.

quite good, but if the actor could get a biit more buff, he would really fit the role..
in the comic cable doesn't look THIS old (as in, less grizzled) and comic cable definitely looks more buffed..
I can make do, as they locked on every other aspect of the char..

No actor outside of The Rock is as big as Cable. I mean who could they have even found at the size of the character, who can act and happens to be over certain age?

Like the look of cable himself, about as good as you could get it, but the gun is preeeeetty silly looking. It reminds me too much of those 4chan designs guns memes where they just copy/paste attachments to existing guns, and in this case they just glued random shit to a Kriss Vector.

It's an easy enough mistake to make. They're both from the future, have scars over their eyes, are shown with guns, and I'm pretty sure Bishop has a robot arm/hand too.

to their defense, if you've red a lot of x-men//x-force comics, some of the weapon they have cable handle have over the top design, as in massive metal junk :X

Oh yeah for sure, Liefeld loves his proportionally fuck hueg guns. but what Cable's sporting here doesn't exactly scream future-tech to me, but we'll see, maybe his backstory is a bit different.
Edit: After thinking about it...I was definitely having a bit of a knee-jerk...cause it's pretty hilarious and fitting that Cable would have one of those 4chan guns, and hell, Deadpool himself might even point out how ridiculous it is, in context it probably works big time.

Cable is usually swole any real human that size would have a heart attack after taking a few steps. Brolin's size is fine.
