Damon Lindelof?

Lindelof script?

I can see it now.

Movie starts with a big-ass action set-piece, most likely involving a chase of some sort. Then shit quiets down, quickly sets up paper-thin characters and motivations, but it's not long before another unnecessarily bombastic set piece shows up. Shit quiets down again for about 15 minutes, but another epic chase sequence begins. Gotta keep that audience from falling asleep over the nonsense going on in the plot, because by golly they're going to be punched into submission into liking this thing. It goes on and on until the very end where it finishes off with the most massive action set piece of the movie yet, but you're so fed up you won't give a fuck by then anymore.

The End.

Seriously though, I hope Lindelof's influence was kept to a minimum.

Shame about Lindelof. A real shame.

Yea. Big shame he had to do this before his Dark Tower project, since that fell through. Stupid studios.

Oh well. Still excited for Tomorrowland! He hasn't let me down yet.

The article describing the story sounds more awesome than I expected it to be. A shame about Lindelof, but I trust Brad Bird with polishing up the material as a co-writer so I'm not as worried as I usually am with Lindelof-penned films.

surprised people aren't treating the second live-action Bird movie with more caution after Ghost Protocol

You mean the one with a 93% rotten tomatoes score? Ghost Protocol is IMO the best in the series, and I think 1 and 3 are really good. Brad Bird has made nothing but classics so I'm in for anything by him. Lindoloft is fine when he has more talented people helping him and it doesn't get much better the Bird.

Hype!!!!!

Ehhhh. Hopefully Lindelof isn't too much of a presence. Bird has created 3 favorites of mine, but I didn't care for Ghost Protocol much. This is a more interesting inspired vision though. So consider me intrigued.

Not enough Faith™ in there.

Thought Ghost Protocol was very weak.

Iron Giant was good. Two Pixar ones were okay. Hopefully a good live action film this time.

This movie will finally answer the age old question: what's stronger, Lindelof's shittinesss or Bird's amazingness.

I look forward to seeing the reactions to this movie.

If it turns out bad, everyone bitches about Lindelof.

If it turns out good, everyone praises Brad Bird.

In absolutely no situation does Brad Bird get flack, nor does Lindelof get props.

This is the one that was filmed in Disneyland on Small World, right? My wife and I were there right after, and Small World was still shut down. We were both really curious about how that would even fit into the movie.

hahaha, fucking lindelof. Guy writes straight trash. Hopefully brad bird can make something out of this but I don't have much hope.
