First list of Xbox One backward compatibility games revealed

So much hate always, hard to tell. 10,000 apologies upon you.

No worries. Sometimes it's difficult to realise how your words will be read by other people.

Those are mostly XBLA games :\

XBLA games are honestly the most important to include. They're the ones being tied to accounts and hardware, and at constant risk of disappearing. I can still buy Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, but couldn't purchase Marvel vs Capcom Origins if I didn't already own it.

I read the OP so I know others are coming, but I don't know, I guess I expected a much better initial list. Outside the Gears games and maybe Borderlands, this is pretty weak.

I think given the enormity of the Xbox 360 catalog, if you're always thinking of what's missing, you'll always be disappointed.

The way I see it, 104 games that were previously unplayable on this system now are playable.

How is Halo Reach not part of the first 100 games? It's their own product. I am also surprised to see no cod, mass effect sequels, and most of MS output on the 360. Gears is all there at least?

A mixed bag of a list from my perspective. Would've been nice to have more of my own games in the list, but there's a few there that I own and a few that I always wanted to own on 360 but never got around to it.

Let's hope we get lots more games added in the next few months.

A solid enough start, and will only get better each month.

Next month, Black OPs, Bioshock 1 & 2, Bioshock Infiniate, Halo Reach, Halo Wars and Skate 3 will be added amoung others

Shitty list when you consider how hard they have been hyping this thing.

Totally agree.
All that talk....for this..??

Disappointing list but at least Activision is on board. Hoping for RDR to be added asap.

Yeah, but that just makes me feel like I did in July (in the preview program)... "In a couple of months, Backward Compatibility is going to be amazing!"
The wait continues....

My kids are pleased:

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
LEGO Star Wars: TCS

Of course, no Burnout or Skyrim....... yet.

Did they actually say next month that all those games will be coming? Or did they say next month more games will come, and these games will be coming soon?

Thank you for not reading the OP.

It's not really all that hard to read before commenting. I'm not sure why some people have a problem with it.

I read the op - a list of the first 104 titles coming out, of which the game I mentioned was not included, so I wanted to get my pun in.

That was... underwhelming.

The future holds promise, but there's a lot of fluff and not a lot of substance in this debut list.

Agreed, I was expecting some solid 360 titles rather than older games that I already have loaded on every piece of hardware I own capable of running an emulator.

There are like 2-3 games I could start with I guess..

I'm really bummed that the list doesn't have all the Microsoft first party stuff right off the bat. They way they made it sound was that they just had to flip a switch, but it's obvious that there is more work to be done. If Shadowrun doesn't ever get supported on the XBONE, I'll be a very sad camper.

There is now a "+ Xbox One" symbol in your 360 games library so if RDR gets stealth added we will know at once.

Interesting.

Looking at the "My Games" list I noticed that Ikaruga had icon along with other games, but the box art picture was for "Jetpack Joyride" and had a windows phone banner. Streets of Rage is the same way with the icon and borked picture, and Toe Jam & Earl has the borked picture, but no +Xbox One icon.

Disappointed that Skyrim, Reach, and Mass Effect 2/3 are missing.

But hey I can get my classic Sonic fix (no S&K though wtf) and NiGHTS too.

Was this really that hyped though? Gag certainly worked itself into a frenzy thinking all these games have to be a sure thing but I feel like Microsoft has been pretty low key with this for the most part.

Didn't they says exactly not that though? I recall talk of how each game ran on an emulator that was tweaked specifically for it and required lots of legal bullshit with pubs.

What makes me the most happy about the list was the focus on digital only arcade titles. While I understand the outrage over the lack of larger titles like RDR, I was much more worried about losing the thousands of dollars that I've invested in downloadable games.
