Tweeted out by Mark Hamill, which I assume means gonna be doing the voice of the Joker

THE "All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy...Just one bad day."

CBR News can exclusively confirm that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles as Batman and the Joker for the film.

In addition to Conroy and Hamill, who first teamed together as Batman and the Joker in the seminal "Batman: The Animated Series," Tara Strong will voice Barbara Gordon/Batgirl and Ray Wise will voice Commissioner Gordon in "Batman: The Killing Joke."

I mean, don't get me wrong, he's great at it and stuff but didn't he say years ago that he was tired doing it?

He also said The Killing Joke was his dream Joker role.

Also if you read his three tweets backwards, the first word of each one makes out "THE KILLING JOKE", in case it wasn't super obvious.

I like the look of that art style. Also seems fitting that Hamall would be the Joker in one of the most classic Batman stories ever, it just isn't the same without him.

Conroy back to means this will probably be amazing.

I think he said that again about Arkham City IIRC and fortunately it turned out to be quite a pleasant lie. I still find it pretty funny that so many were fixated about the Arkham Knight's Identity when that was clearly not the surprise they were trying to hide.

He's been saying that he'd quit since The Return of the Joker (which came out in 2000), however he made it clear that no matter what that he'd come back for The Killing Joke, regardless of retirement or not.

Who knows, I stopped paying attention to the news of him retiring the voice. It feels like he has come back for like 4 games or movies since he said he was done. Plus he plays Trickster on Flash, which is basically the same voice. Haha.

"The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me," Hamill said in a statement to CBR. "I am beyond thrilled to return as The Joker in 'The Killing Joke!'"

“I’ve had the great privilege of voicing Batman for more than two decades, and some of my favorite moments in the recording booth have been alongside Mark Hamill," Conroy added. "Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I’m thrilled that we’re both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time.”

God I hope they got to record together.

Art style doesn't do it for me. Wanted some thing different. DC recent animated movies mostly have been miss for me

I could imagine they leave out the stripping and keep everything else.

Gordon might also at least keep his underwear.

This is why this story should have been given to someone like Ralph Bakshi.

Man, a rotoscoped Killing Joke movie would be neat. More interesting than this at least.

Everything after Flashpoint Paradox has been very hit or miss for me. Before that point, even the "dumber" purely action driven DC Animated movies were still fun. But stuff like Batman & Son and Justice League: War were just okay. I need to rewatch the Throne of Atlantis one, I haven't fully sat through it.

I think DC has already said they would be fine if the film got an R-rating, so if they're being faithful to the source material, I can't imagine that they wouldn't be in lockstep with how it played out in the comic.
Im sure everyone involved is fine with it but it's the fans that may not be okay with it. To put it kindly.

That's what I was thinking as well.

That would have been pretty nuts. Rotoscoping imo has an inherently unsettling feel to it, so it would be pretty fitting to the story.

Same here . Last movie i liked was flashpoint. And Also hated JL:war. The whole invasion arc was so disappointing visual wise.

Flashpoint also had a very disappointing size of army for both Atlantions and amazonians

It's weird that they're putting this out right as they (Batgirl comic book spoilers)
sorta retcon it out of the Bat-canon

Wait what?
Do you mean it's because Barbara can walk in the comic? That's because she was only paralyzed for 2 years in that universe, not because the incident didn't happen.

What do you mean? Killing is considered one of the best batman storied ever. It should be 100 percent faithful to the graphic novel

If your talking about the thing that happens to Barbra. Somthing simmilar happens to her father. Stripped by dwarfs and toruted on a wheel with photos of his crippled daughter.

In the most recent issue, they heavily imply that it was an implanted memory and did not actually happen at all

The dream is alive!

Hamill is getting his wish and Conroy's along for the ride!

As much as I love Tara Strong is I'm surprised she's Barbara in this. I would've thought they would've tapped somebody else as they tend to do with these things but I guess they want as much of the TAS/DCAU cast as they can realistically get for this one.

WELL. Guess I'm watching this movie! I've liked all of these Batman animated movies pretty well so far so I'll probably enjoy this one! Can't wait for The Long Halloween some day.

Well that's completely idiotic
because a huge part of her backstory and her character arc is based on that incident.

Seems like a pathetic attempt by the writers to disentangle Bab's character from that incident. Bad news for them though, it won't work.
