For comparison sake:
Kinda looks like the original trilogy suit. I like it, but too bad its not more different.
I like the first ASM spider logo more.

Hey, I LIKE the Scarlet Spider look, but it legitimately looks like something a teenager could actually manage to put together in their home. It's a body sock and a hoodie.

yeah the spider logo on the old one is fucking awesome.
the raised webbing on the new one does make it feel like their trying to get the Raimi suit look back. i wonder if theyll try to copy the style of the old films more in this one.

Most people wouldn't. Unless you obsess on the details if the costume you won't notice the difference - as is the case of 90% of the people who watch the films.
LOVE the new lenses, but hate the raised webbing. It looks EXACTLY like Raimi's SM suit in that regard. And the spider logo is too low. The only thing different other than the eyes is the blue part of the suit, it uses ASM's meshing texture which is great. But everything else other than those two things is disappointing.

Finally a good live-action Spidey costume. Hope it has the belt from the videogame, or at least the standard costume patterned belt.
Pity its tied to a terrible reboot and a film I cant help but feel will be awful.

Whoah they actually got the eyes right. This looks like it could be the best costume yet, shame about the movie it's gonna be in.
the first one doesnt look home made at all, it just looks different.
you see him sewing something for a few frames, then he has this full professional looking body suit costume.

It's ridiculous the films gloss over how Peter makes his costume, especially when you consider that the suit from the Raimi films cost about $100,000 to make.

Though they got the eyes right (finally) it's really disappointing that they're reverting back to the webbing from SM2, foamy raised grey rubber strips. I wish they merged the design more with the ASM suit, and used slightly more indented/thin strips that weren't so angular/squared off. Like this;

But going from the Ben Reilly Spidey costume to the classic costume would be a step down, as the Ben Reilly suit is the best suit.
The promo pick looks a lot like the original films so I might be interested a little in this. I didn't like those Spider-Man movies either (even the beloved second film), but at least they were watchable. I finally caught ASM on a plane a couple weeks ago and...ugh.
One of the days they will make a Spider-Man movie that will appeal to me.

Say what you want about the other superhero movies but the nolan trilogy and the Iron man trilogy have had diverse and decent looking costumes.

It's actually looking good, they are trying to trick me into watching the next film aren't they? After the abomination that was The Amazing Spider-man they are gonna have to work really fucking hard.

With Iron Man and Batman you have valid reasons for change to the costume. Its tech and they are further developing it to serve their crime fighting.

Man i miss Ben Reilly.. I wanted to say that it was bullshit they killed him as he was the only good thing to come out of the clone saga but i just read on wiki that he survived and they got the baby back too. I completely missed that and for all these years thought he died after he was impaled (he turned to goo wtf..).

The ASM costume looked a lot better on film. The black eyes surprisingly worked well with the night time scenes

Uh he did die. And I thought he turned to dust. Theres a new Scarlet Spider, but its not Ben. What you're referencing was essentially a "What If" mini-series.

The eyes are completely different than Raimi's costume. So's the spider.
Spidey is supposed to be lanky. Garfield in costume is the closest we've gotten on film to the comicbook version.
It looks twice as close to the Raimi costume than the ASM one.
Pretty sure they already announced it as Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Sam's was almost like the comic book one. This one looks to be closer to the comic one than Raimi's costume ever was.
