Damn. I can't believe they had that, and decided that the Power Ranger suit was the best choice.

Well there's no practical way of explaining the mask. From the video, it looks like they were already heading in the direction of the Power Rangers armor anyways.

I don't think audiences were as ready to embrace comic book absurdity as they were when Avengers came out.

i think this is something a lot of people forget.

the public wasnt ready for all out comic book zaniness.

they had to tone it down a lot.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 did that by making the villains technology based.

the same goes for Iron Man 1, its all technology, and it was very dark and as realistic as you can get for a super hero movie.

now that the public is used to super heroes and crazy bullshit, and now that studios know the more fantasy type hero movies do make money, we are getting that Guardians of the Galaxy movie with a damn talking raccoon in it.

Now, I agree that Peter/MJ were miscast as well as Doc Oc, Venom, Sandman, etc, but JJ, Jarry and Norman were all perfectly cast.

I couldn't think of anyone better to pull off Green Goblin crazy than Dafoe and Franco was amazing as Harry. Not to mention that J.K Simmons put in an amazing performance as JJ. No-one will be able to replicate or be as good in the role.

Completely forgot about JK. I see plenty of Shailene trashing going on. You're all terrible people.

Anyways, JK Simmons JJJ is in the same universe as Agent Coulson. So, I expect Tobey Maguire to reprise his role in Avengers. Keep Coulson and JJJ and ignore that crap cartoon. It's the only way.

Yuck. One of the best thing's about the idea of Spiderman being in Avengers is he brings a younger cast member into the group and would change the dynamic. Plus, Toby is an awful Spiderman/Peter Parker.

Apparently they'll be filming in front of the Flatiron building (the iconic daily bugle hq) this monday, so the DB is definitely in this movie in a bigger way. But without Simmons, JJ just won't be the same.

Before they announced as Chris Cooper would Norman Osborn, everyone sort of assumed Colm Feore was playing him. But apparently not, so he might actually be playing JJJ. Not sure how I feel about that.

Come to think of it, the only truly unconfirmed casting spots are Colm Feore, and Felicity Jones. That makes me think they're both DB parts. JJJ, and Betty Brant.
