Should work now.

1998 Godzilla is not Godzilla at all

Even as a small child I knew that

Didn't look or feel like a Godzilla one bit more like a giant James Cameron alien

I'm glad Godzilla is coming back

The fact that Cranston is involved makes me even more jolly

I'm not saying the original Godzilla design(s) is that good or holds up, but its iconic as fuck and IS Godzilla. 98 Godzilla just really didn't play off of that design, and thus it doesn't really feel like Godzilla. I really hope this movie can bring the design into the modern age and look good without looking as goofy as Godzilla comes off as now.

Amazing.

Oh awesome! Is that revealing tonight?

GINO lovers, when were you guys born?

lol @ this new design having a "derpy" look. growing up in the 80's loving big-G, I'd have to say this is the best redesign yet, but then again his design has been progressively better with each iteration over the years in Japan.

Godzilla vs Megalon is my personal favorite. And the Jet Jaguar theme is my jam.

This. So much.

98 Godzilla was just so off.
I grew up watching Godzilla and I remember being excited about being able to see it in the theatre. After I saw it I was just like eh... I just gonna go home and watch Godzilla Destroy All Monsters for the millionth time.

98 is just a mangled blown up version of Jurassic Park in Manhattan... not terrible, but nothing great (well maybe worse because it's not even so bad it's good). Thus deserving of the title Godzilla In Name Only. As for the design, it's serviceable for the angle they were going but clearly lacks the instant recognition. They should have dialed back in maybe 20% of the real G's design.

Another look at the model:

I'm guessing the neck will be slimmed down though.
I think this design is fucking boss, Godzilla should be intimidating. That design is scary and imposing. It says King of the monsters to me, he looks like he could wreck some shit

The real one probably won't look like that, I'm keeping my expectations wide open.

i really love the look of the flared neck, its fitting

it gives godzilla a bear-like feel it is very imposing

in fact, ignore the tail and he looks pretty much like a standing reptilian grizzly bear

I wonder how agile he'll be.

Hopefully not much, which would be in keeping with the character.

Godzilla is a slow, lumbering force of nature. A walking hurricane if you will.

He doesn't need to run or jump cause really, he just doesn't give a f!!!!

GINO doing dashes down streets and hurdle jumping tanks.......SIGH.

I was a huge Godzilla fan as a kid and loved all of the Showa era films (except for that one about the kid dreaming of monster island, even my 5-year-old self knew that was shit) but missed a bunch of the Heisei films (I think saw up to the new Mothra one) and was completely out of the loop on the Millennium ones. Which ones from these two are worth watching? All this new movie hype has gotten me interested in watching some of the ones I missed.

All Godzilla fans need to watch GMK. I didn't really like the rest of the millennium series honestly.

Edit: for Heisei, finish it up and at least watch godzilla vs destroyah. I thought SpaceGodzilla was a poor movie with shitty music, you wouldn't miss much by skipping it

As a kid I loved 98 Godzilla. Plus it still has the best and sleekest design. Like a Ninja Godzilla. Fatzilla needs to do some cardio.
