The first gameplay footage of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots running as part of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 has appeared online following a recent livestream from a Japanese YouTuber.
Clips from the broadcast quickly began circulating online, giving fans an early look at the long-awaited modern release of the 2008 stealth-action title. It appears that the in-game iPod feature is still included in this version of the game, despite questions surrounding licensed content and legacy features in older Metal Gear releases.
- "Back to main menu" option has been added to the settings like they did for MGS2/3 in Vol. 1
- Save loading screen has been redone in a style like the the menus/ui the game has
- Loading screen now shows a "loading circle" instead of the "now loading" text
- Hideblog url has been removed from the cardboardbox in one of the beginning cutscenes since that website doesn't exist anymore
- iPod is back and included
- L1 and R1 for aiming and shooting are replaced with L2 and R2 which makes sense since that replaces the context sensitivity buttons on PS3 with the adaptive triggers on PS5. Also controller buttob mapping should be included like in MC Vol. 1
- They seem to have recorded new voice lines for mentioning the now changed controller buttons
Run at smooth 60fps, loading times are fast and it has higher resolution
