Even though it would never happen, I'd love a sequel with my man, motherfucking King Ghidorah.
Toho will most likely force them to include the big tree (Mothra, Ghidorah or Mecha G.) if the first one is a success. Typical Japanese corporate anitcs. First acting all uptight about the licensing but once the money shows they are all happy sunshine friends and flowers.

You make it sound like a negative thing.
It is. Let the film stand on its own. If Toho wants to make a Godzilla film, let them make it and let them screw it up
Right, because a movie about a 350 ft tall monster is already incredibly realistic.Get that Ghidorah, Mothra bullshit out of here. I don't want a 400ft three headed dragon in my Godzilla film. I want it to be realistic.

lol Y'all fools know that if the Godzilla 2 trailer was just the logo with this sound(updated for modern times of course) in the background, you'd all jizz your pants.
I'm glad it's getting good reactions, but isn't that how every big tentpole movie goes when it first gets reactions before release? I hope it's great as a Gojira nerd.

Don't get me wrong; I want older monsters butYou make it sound like a negative thing.
Don't get me wrong; I want older monsters but
Toho kept shoehorning those three into so many of the Millenium series that it got really boring. I'd rather want some underused ones back.
motherfucking space-godzilla
Where's the OT? Who's making it?
I would like to do it but according to the Volunteer list Snaku asked for it
EDIT: Just sent him a PM.

I can't believe we didn't sign up for this Dax

Wowwwww. Really really fun movie. I don't want to spoil anything. Elizabeth Olsen is stunning in person.![]()
Watched the original Godzilla for the first time last night. The tone of the new one is very similar.

Gojira (original Japanese version) or "King of the Monsters" (the US version)? It makes a bigger difference than you'd think (30 minutes cut, 20 minutes of new footage shoved in).

Gojira, Japanese version.
I'm okay with other monsters showing up. I don't know the context in which the MUTO appear, but one has to imagine in a fictional universe where Godzilla is lying around undiscovered, there are probably other giant monsters snoozing somewhere too.
I do draw the line at Mechagodzilla though, as much as I love him. That level of technology is either wildly out of place or requires aliens to show up. I just don't see it happening in any way that isn't a huge leap of the imagination (and yes, I know, Godzilla movies already require one, but not that huge).
Mothra, Ghidorah, Rodan, even Hedorah are okay in my book (the theme certainly is relevant). I just think a giant robot version of Godzilla would be hard to pull off with a straight face.
Skip ahead 25 years. Mankind is using knowledge gathered from previous encounters with Godzilla and these other monsters, make Mechagodzilla a little more of a Cybergodzilla; equal parts grown from Godzilla cells and nanotech.I'm okay with other monsters showing up. this man knows what's up. At least in the manner of the 70s version, Mechagodzilla was menacing and and a force to be reckoned with. No reason that wouldn't work in a sequel imoFuck Mothra. I do want Mechagodzilla though.
oh my godWatched the original Godzilla for the first time last night. The tone of the new one is very similar.
Nope, resisting the urge to watch that video. The movie is too close.
I hated the awful camera work/style...
Don't watch that video! One of my favorite parts, of many, in the movie.
Stay strong, GAF.
