Oh I thought that was their whole Runescape Rebirth thing and not a sequel, like the Luclin expansion for EQ or Revival for Ragnarok Online.

This is when I started playing (in '04), but that particular pic is definitely in the past 2 years. It certainly didn't look quite like that. That UI change is fairly recent.

Also, since when were they making a RS3?

I'm perfectly fine with an MMO looking like that if it's fun. It's clean, it's colorful, and it could probably handle a huge amount of things going on onscreen at once. Sure, the models could be a little more detailed, but overall it's more than good enough.

I was ok with it... It just was the time were PvP was very popular. Even in member servers, 90% of members stayed at the starting point.

I think they added a few areas (like 3 small areas?) in the free world
