First teaser for "Mr. Robot" Season 3.

I made it through about 4 episodes of Season 2 and I hated it. Should I keep going Gaf?

Season 1 was great.
If you made it that far, I'd say give it a shot. first half of the season had a lot of pacing issues that I don't remember the back half having.

I really like how the world is seemingly worse off now. The protagonists did all this shit to make the world a better place and now it's a shithole.

Seconded. I was a bit sceptical of season 1, because fsociety's plan to change the world seemed a bit too simple, but they really made it work in s2 with how everything backfired

That's kind of what the show is going for especially in season 2 where you're fully in Elliot's mind and the twists that brings about, so don't feel too bad :P

Not talking about Elliot's storyline so much so as everything else involving the government/conspiracies or whatever.

Im super clueless about it and can't seem to find a good guide

I thought S2 was fuckin awesome, so I'm excited for this. It keeps gets darker and more chaotic each season as the phases progress, it's great.

I enjoyed S2 but I disliked how long they left Tyrell out of the show. He is the most interesting character.

Yeah Tyrell was definitely a favorite of mine. And that may be a personal reason why Season 2 felt weaker. Still really enjoyed it and I'm hyped for Season 3.

Can't wait to see me some more of Stephanie Corneliussen!

I just marathoned season 1 and 2 for the first time. Fell in love with the show and I couldn't wait to watch each episode.

Season 2 definitely wasn't what I wanted, but I liked it in the end. The only part that sticks out to me is the Craig Robinson twist which I thought was kind of lame. Not a big fan of
"Sucker Punch" style narratives where they show you one reality and say "but this was actually a false dream reality, and what you saw did happen, but in a different way." An unreliable narrator is one thing, but a whole dream sequence with no correlation to what's really happening in the world is another.

In the end it was brave and interesting though.

I would hope it returns a bit to reality with S3... I feel we didn't really see the full aftermath of the big hack. Yeah people weren't able to use cards and such, but where's the moment E Corp declares to the world that the credit card data is officially gone?

What easily guessable twist will they include this time?
A lot of popular movies hang themselves on easily guessable twists (Sixth Sense, Fight Club). You might be clever and figure it out, but a lot of people won't....

Different scenario, you watch a movie in one sitting. With TV the internet has weeks to piece together the puzzle.

Rami Malek is mesmerizing to watch but the show is one of the most exhausting things I've ever sat through, where every scene is possibly happening and/or not happening at all. I get that's the conceit but there was more going for it in S1 than simply finding ways to completely fuck with the audience.

Like, the trajectory it's on is they'll reveal the second and first seasons never happened! Bazinga!!

It would be a bit sad if we couldn't have TV twists ever again because of the internet, isn't it?

You know what? I didn't go on the internet, and I didn't see the twist coming. :) part of me still wishes the season 1 twist wasn't true. I was enjoying this
older, crazier, anarchist hacker character. I kinda think that was more interesting than Fight Club part deux

Excellent. I was hooked on this show from the moment I watched that opening scene with the coffee shop owner.

I'm really into the way it's progressing. Doesn't feel to me like they're going to try and drag the story out for far too long.

Looking forward to this.

Season 1 was pretty predictable, especially at around the halfway point. I actually got duped by the season 2 twist much more.

Eh...there were two big twists in Season 1, one of which was predictable.
Mr. Robot wasn't real

The other one wasn't nearly as predictable, IMO.
Darlene being the sister

I'm all in.

Loving the tone set in that trailer.

Just what you would expect based on the events of the past season...

Season 1 was great.
I watched everything but the last episode of Season 2, I thought I already watched them all but then I found out there's one more. Didn't bother to watch even that. I also really loved the first season, but my advice would be to drop the show.

Season 2 fucked around way too long IMO. It took until the finale of S2 to move the events of the finale of S1 forward ffs...

But I have to admit, that teaser for S3 has me excited. Clearly I have not learned my lesson.

Oh yeah, forgot about the second one, that definitely got me. I remember the ballet class scene and going "wait, wtf?!"

Don't understand the hate for S2, I thought it was great. Show is built for binge watching. Hope we get more Joey Bada$$.
