Flower (PSN)

For those that have the "Nature" trophy; did anyone of you get it while playing a level, or was it when you finished a level (and returned back to the room)?
Just got it, and it popped up once I went back to where you select which level

My girlfriend hadn't touched a videogame in 10 years and last night I introduced her to Flower, and she beat the game in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was beautiful. :D

Anyone know where the last hidden blue flowers are on the night mission (lvl5 I think)?

I have the one behind the haystack and the one you reveal around the wooden wheel.

Great level that, I love how it looks when the flowers glow and the atmosphere in this level.

I keep replaying certain levels over and over and it's not even for trophies. It's just so soothing and good. I love it so much. I want more levels! It be nice to have one that is in the morning or over rivers and streams.

Sooooo gooood. :D

While you're glowing, go to the pool of water and make it glow. It's the one near the end of the level before you get sucked into the dark area. You can get to it during one of the last times when you get your petals glowing.

Copied from a bunch of other posts...

FLOWERS

Level 1 - Yellow Flower
1; In the first area collect all the outlying white flowers to make the hidden flower appear
2; In the second area once again collect all the outlying white flowers
3; The 3rd hidden flower is behind the tree in the final area

Level 2 - Red Flower
1; In the first area collect all the orange & red flowers in the valley between the two ring of stones
2; In the second area once the yellow & white flowers have appeared collect the group of yellow flowers that appear near where you entered this area
3; The 3rd hidden flower is located to the left of the first set of standing stones in a small obscured valley in the 3rd area

Level 3 - Pink Flower
1; In the first area collect all the blue flowers near the 3 small fans, then collect all the yellow flowers in the small valleys with jump rocks in them
2; inside the caves, somewhere along the right side.
3; Near the end of the fast valley section, hidden behind a small outcrop of rock

Level 4 - Blue Flower
1;At the beginning of the stage, you can find 2 "straw rolls" (excuse my english) in a corner of the map, it's behind one of those
2;Broken/abandonned cartwheel, light it up
3;Light up one of the two ponds to make it appear

Level 5 - Purple Flower
1; In the first section, there's a little hidden valley off to the left of all the twisted ruins.
2; Second section with all the tall electrical towers, there's a tower towards the left that falls once you get some flowers in the area from the top of the little ramps. It shows up then where it falls.
3; In the canyons before the end gauntlet, it's in a corner somewhere. You need to open a few colored flowers before it appears.

Level 6 - Light Pink Flower
1; In the skyscraper, halfway up, in the second section. It helps to go through the hole on the roof to see it.
2; Under the exit ramp on the bridge. Get onto the highway and loop around and take the right most exit and continue.
3; Behind an air vent right before the end section.

EXTRA TROPHIES

Most have a clear description, some however are secret and/or not very clear.

"Memories"
In a level, leave the controller alone until the game switches to a screensaver mode, wait 3 minutes.

"Healthy Play"
Same as Memories, but in the main menu. 10 minutes.

"Welcome Back"
Play the game, wait a week*, then play it again.
* or adjust your PS3 date/time setting

"Palette"
In the second level (red flower), there's an area where you can color the grass. Use three different colors.

"flOw"
Third level (pink flower), in the caves, keep right and you'll enter a secret area... with familiar cave paintings.

"Pure"
Fifth level (purple flower), make it to the final area without burning the flowers. But make sure you found all the secret flowers first.

100% :D

Actually failed at "Stars" again before getting it on like my 5th try. :lol So sad. I finally just stopped taking it slow and just went through as fast as I could, got the trophy. I suspect that my constant turning around and backtracking a bit to try to make sure I didn't miss any was what ensured I consistently missed one, perhaps I habitually turned around in one area without noticing there was one more I'd see easily if I just followed where the game was leading me.

To get the one you're missing
in one of the last areas close to the wagon there is a second pond, when your petal is charged up fly over it and light it up like you do to get the "illuminate" trophy on the first pond. The last hidden flower pops up right beside the pond.

Once again, for that 10.000 flowers trophy, did anyone replay the last level over and over again? Would you guys say it's a wise move? :p

That level has loads of flowers so I would say it's a good strategy.

I got these two a slightly different way:

"Memories"
After you beat a level, it goes into "reflection mode" and shows a montage of different areas of the level. I let it do its thing for 3 minutes and got the trophy.

"Healthy Play"
I just paused the game mid-level which takes you back to the apartment. Left it there for 10 minutes and got the trophy.

Basically the same idea, though.

I'm amazed. Replaying now for Trophies.

This game kinda reminds me of when I first started playing Super Mario Bros.

I have NO idea what I'm doing, but it's pretty fun nonetheless so far.

Tip for the Pure Trophy:
You don't need to get all of the purple flowers and shut off all of them towers. You just need to get the ones that feed directly into the barriers that block progress. For the canyon section you need to just keep against the walls and avoid the pink boost flowers.

this game is an aphrodesiac... Not even kidding at all, so if you have a special lady in your life show her this game and she will be all over you. :lo

You can get the
welcome back
trophy by
setting your time and date in the XMB manually to 7 days ahead
.

Instant way to label yourself as a bona fide trophy whore.

The game hasn't even been out for seven days!

:O

To give you an example of how long it took me to get my 10k trophy,
I beat the game twice, and probably played the last level...an extra time.

PSN makes things way too easy when your credit card info is attached to it lol. I'm glad I got it last night with my girlfriend. We had a blast. I definitely recommend it, even now with a sober mind lol.

Holy crap this game is good.

I never like buying things without demos, but I did anyway. Would it kill them to have a demo of the first level? If I hadn't just blind-bought, I wouldn't even know what I was missing out on.

finished my first playthrough today, really liked it. first part of the last level was so much fulled of win that it could come out of the screen and give you a head.

May I suggest a thread title change to the OP?

Flower: Full of Wind! official thread

alternatively...

Flower: the official thread of Heavy Petal Gladness...

or...

Flower: Blows SO Good! The official thread

(call my agent, we'll set up a lunch. Get back to me babe!)

Finished this last night and replayed a couple levels to find all the hidden flowers. Loved this is much. It's such a distinct game and stands out from most of the usual crap we've been getting lately. I want more!

just beat the game, enjoyed the first half much more than the second half

the last level was cool though

The fifth level is just super depressing, but the sixth makes it all better.

Played the first two levels this morning with my 3 y/o son on my lap and he loved it. Kept telling me to "go get the special flowers" (the glowing ones) while I was trying to get all of the white ones. The only complaint I have is that it gets hard to see flowers in front of you when you start to get near the end of the level due to the amount of petals on screen.

Already have 14% trophies and I accidentally got the Palette one because I thought I had to go from one color to another before the color ran out.

Yeah I had that issue too. I don't know if it'll help you, but I would tilt the controller up, causing me to move higher up and giving me a better view of the world and the flowers.

Why isn't this working for me?

I started the game...floated around for 5 mins...quit the game...set clock to February 21...started the game...floated around for 5 mins...nothing.

Huh, pretty much just beat the game in my first sitting!

Rather enjoyed it, but wish there was more. Based on flOw, though, I'm guessing there will be, and I will gladly pay for it.

I set it to Feb 24 and got it. So yeah, try adding a few days just to be safe.

Never had that problem. Sometimes there's a ton of actual flowers making things hard, but the petals never bothered me. They're always trailing behind you, off-screen, aren't they ? Unless of course you're zigzagging all over the place and backtracking constantly.

I can't figure this one out... I've collected every flower in the level, and I'm pretty sure there are at least three different colors of grass on the ground by the time I finish. Is there some secret special area to do this in?
