Food that you just cannot stand.

From worst to not worst.

Anything that has even the slightest hint of Coffee, i.e. coffee cake, revels.

Things with English Mustard in(I haven't tried any other kind).

Stilton Cheese.

Olives.

Turkish delight.

They just don't taste nice, nothing to do with the texture, and then I hate the smell of coffee and even if it's in a cake I could smell and taste it.

I will pretty much eat anything, but there is a small list of things I absolutely will not eat:

Peanut Butter
Mayo
Water Chestnuts

Nope, Nope and HELL Nope.

Umm, pretty sure you aren't human if you dislike Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, holy shit.
Sorry, I like decent untainted chocolate. I don't mind some of the trash-tier Nestlé-like chocolate candy but not anything mixed with peanut butter, that's nasty.

Mushrooms. There are some foods that I hate but wish I didn't (Strawberries). There are some foods I love but can't appreciate why people hate them (brutal sprouts).

But mushrooms look disgusting, smell disgusting and taste disgusting. I hate how silently prominent they are in recipes so I have to check every lasagne, spag bol and curry I eat.

Mushrooms, fish, cauliflower and strawberries are just about the only foods I dislike and it's such an inconvenience.
Man I love all of those foods (steamed cauliflowers sprinkled with Montreal-style vegetable spices is actually pretty decent). Mushrooms enhance almost any dish for me.

And how the fuck can someone hate strawberries??

Bean sprouts and cucumber. The latter one is weird because I really enjoy a slice in a gin and tonic or in zaziki.

Yeah, it's a similar thing to melons and stuff... it's just some fibers and water with some very slight flavoring unless it's an old bitter one.

Those are both just made of fish though. D:

Not really surprised at the seafood issues but at the same time... that's a lot of stuff you can't eat. :( Even if it's prepared in a way that masks it?

It's just egg and oil (with flavoring) really. There are similar emulsions out there that are also delicious. Homemade Vietnamese mayonnaise is amazinggggg.

There is Vietnamese mayonnaise? Isn't that just normal mayonnaise? The stuff on banh mi?
I am Vietnamese and never heard of it, lol.

I have a lot of foods I dislike, but there's usually exceptions to the rule. Like, I dislike most cheeses, but there's a few I love and some that I'll eat in one particular dish but nothing else. Makes it hard to properly communicate my dietary restrictions.

I can eat with no problem anything I've tried so far, even foods that I dislike, but I need a lot of resolve to even go half-way through a single piece of Cueritos (Mexican version). Cueritos are a kind of pickled pig skin that are usually eaten with Tostadas (Hard tortillas, like American Taco Shells) and some vegetables such as lettuce and tomato, sometimes even with pickled nuts. They have an absolutely horrible chewy texture that feels like you're chewing through an acid piece of rubber. And don't get me started on how they look...
Rectangular maggots!

Oh my. I understand pickling from a preservation stand point, but the idea of doing that to pig skin instead of frying or baking it to a crisp just seems a goddamned travesty. Like literally taking one of the best things on earth and ruining it.

Mustard. It tastes like bitter ass, and should be thrown into the dark pits of the ocean.

Lots. I'm a terribly fussy eater to the point where I think it's developed into a phobia. Put down any sort of mean in front of me and I'll eat it. It could be rat meat or whatever and I'd still eat it if it was safe, but I just can't touch vegetables. The only vegetables I can eat are peas, everything else just tastes horrible to me. I've tried carrots, broccoli, lettuce, cauliflower and others that I can't remember and they all make me instantly gag the moment I try and eat them. It sucks because I really want to like them, especially now since I want to set a good example for my daughter, but it's gotten to the point now where even thinking about eating something like a carrot makes me anxious. It's so stupid and I really hate that I have such a childish reaction to things like this because it makes it really hard to eat healthy meals, but they just repulse me.

There are lots of other things I don't like (fish, baked beans, rice) but if I could stomach vegetables I'd be a much happier person.

On a related note, I hate it when I'm in a bar or out for food and they serve me my coke with a slice of lemon in it.

I know how you feel with veggies to a lesser extent. They don't make me auto gag, but I can only stand green beans and peas. And corn if you count that. But everything else just tastes bad to me and makes eating healthier very difficult. The only thing I can fathom lettuce on is a restaurant's loaded nachos, which aren't exactly healthy.

I'm not a big fan of raw tomatoes, cucumbers or avocado. They don't taste like much to me.

Also onions are good, what's wrong with you people

Most nuts. Walnuts, pecans, almonds, etc. I can tolerate peanuts, but hate most other kinds of nuts. I don't mind peanut butter but don't love the taste of peanuts in things (like Pad Thai, I just don't really like).

But generally I dislike all nuts.

Actually, I agree. I hate nuts in just about every scenario.

Pecans are the worst.

Big stupid American Sushi rolls. You don't need to fry everything and put mayo on for it to be delicious.

Or slather it in BBQ sauce.

The Japanese prefer to use very simple ingredients. Eating those giant, humongous, fake rolls is like putting ranch on your pristine steak.

White asparagus. Green asparagus is great though.

Licorice. Straight from hell.

Beetroot. Texture and taste are horrible imo.

Can't stand peanut butter. Even a small amount in chocolate/baked goods tastes awful.

Caraway seeds as well. I thought I hated rye bread until I tried some without these terrible seeds. No idea why they're so commonly added.

Looks great. Though I'd prefer traditional Japanese sushi I'd eat that.

There's a lot but I won't list all of them:

Cilantro
Mayonnaise
Sour cream
Grits
Mashed potatoes
Oatmeal
Eggs
Pretty much any cream-based sauce in a savory food

Vegemite. I just don't get it(I'm American). I haven't tried it in about 15 years though . I'll have to give it another shot.

Bean sprouts and cucumber. The latter one is weird because I really enjoy a slice in a gin and tonic or in zaziki.

I am Vietnamese and never heard of it, lol.

It has a different flavor from normal mayo. Usually looks a bit more yellow.

This.

I'm well-known in my family for hating nuts. Peanuts are not nuts, they're legumes. Nuts grow on trees, while peanuts grow from underground.
-----

I also can't stand:

tartar sauce
honey mustard
pickles
beets

Italian food.

I can eat it if it's the only thing available, but I can never shake the feeling that I'd rather be eating real food.

I used to be picky when i was a teen.

No im luckily over it.

Childish pickiness is a HUGE turn off.

I used to not like:
Onions, peppers, tomatoes, avocados, bananas, strawberries, olives, pickles. And more.

Being able to eat and enjoy everything is awesome.

My philosophy is if billions of people like it, it is probably good and im just being childish. It's psychological. Some things are an acquired taste but it's worth it.
