Foods you hate(or don't care for)........

Spaghetti. I'm so picky with it that I pretty much hate it if it doesn't fit a set of requirments. Even when these requirments are met...I don't really enjoy it as much.

Cheese, Milk... my ex girlfriend would drink milk with every meal and that grossed me out. Milk + Pizza... ugh!

I also don't get the appeal of a lot of these 'delicacies' that would gross out the average American taste buds - balut, duck blood soup, haggis, natto, etc. I had chicken feet once (on a dare from some of my Chinese friends) and they were gross.

'Delicacy' is short for 'disgusting offal the butcher wipes his ass with'

I just can't get excited about pretzels. It's like eating cardboard!

oh i also hate steak sauce, not because of the taste or anything, but because i feel that it shouldn't be necessary to enjoy a steak

Oddly enough, I used to do the same until fairly recently.

I think all my food pickiness stems from visual appeal.

I don't mind pickles if they're sliced or diced. But if it's a whole pickle, no thank you. It just looks disgusting.

And I can't stand cauliflower. It like an albino brocolli.

Try it on fries or hash browns. It is damn good.

A few other foods I can't stand:

Brussels sprouts- I generally like vegetables, being vegetarian and all, but these things are nasty.

Limburger cheese- How can anyone possibly like this stuff?

If I were to go and list them all it would take too long, i'm a picky eater. The foods I hate the most are:

Beets
Pickles
Seafood, especially Lobster.
Oatmeal
Tofu
Soy
Carrots
Lettuce

I love vegemite, but marmite is better.
And I do eat Natto, just not so often. It can be a good ingredient when prepared in a meal.

I love vegemite too. Put it on toast with some chevre. Very tasty.

I have natto maki for breakfast every morning. How can someone not like it. Neba neba ANYTHING (yamaimo, okra, nameko *drool) is very tasty to me.

I would venture to say that everythine people here like, I don't like. Meat being a big thing. I had carbonated beverages, concentrated fruit juice.

I bet I could serve you a well prepared anything on this list, and you would like it.

Probably my biggest fussy complaints are Katsubushi and MIRIN. I can't stand this shit. Makes food taste disgusting.

I don't live in Europe anymore so I'm not really exposed to it like used to be but the absolute worst thing I've had would be blood sausage. It's nothing but coagulated pig blood in a sausage casing. Why the hell people eat that shit is beyond me.

I hate onions, and I hate that they are put in every single dish known to man. Whenever I order anything anywhere it always has onions in it. Including TV dinners.

I will eat pretty much anything else though.

Me too. I pretty much like all vegetables but I can't eat onions and they're in everything. It's actually a big pain in the ass - I'm thinking about trying to start force-feeding myself and try to get used to them.

Another thing I hate are canned green beans. I love them fresh but the canned kind are disgusting.

Big agree. This and head-cheese are the two grossest mainstream foods EVER.

I wonder how many people in this thread have actually had real sushi.

That being said, I wasn't a fan of sashimi the first time I had it. But after that initial time, I'm ok. Occasionally I'll crave it.

even though i'm not vegetarian or vegan i hate most meat (but love alot of seafood) and i don't eat any vegetables apart from lettuce, carrot, cucumber and tomato. hard boiled eggs and milk by itself are totally digusting too.

I can eat, and enjoy, just about anything. Sushi, escargot, calamari, mussels/oysters, liver - I haven't gone as far as the other sweet meats, but if I was in the right mood I would give them a try. But I just don't like raw tomatoes.

I am the freak that does not like potatoes. I will eat french fries and potato chips, but thats it. No baked potatoes or mashed potatoes for me.

i agree, anything mashed or mushed is never good.

I used to think so too. Until I had heirloom tomatoes.

My god those are good.

I had these amazing tomatoes at a Spanish restaurant once that tasted like strawberries. Sadly, most tomatoes taste remarkably unlike strawberries, hence I do not like them. Not that I don't like them as an ingredient - I couldn't imagine Mexican food without them - but just not alone or when they're the dominant flavor.

I hate, hate hate Roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas and gravy. That is the most awful meal i could think of eating.

Onions. I guess there are other things I don't like, but a world without onions would be a very happy place for me.

I have noticed that there is a growing anti-onion contingent, and many sandwich or burger places have started to only put on onion if you ask for it. That's right...down with the onion!!

I am the least fussy eater here. Only food I dislike is raw celery. It's vile. Everything else, including cooked celery, is delicious. Including natto.

In general i am sort of picky when it comes to meat and i don't eat fish (tastes way too much like fish or the sea imo!).
I do eat every kind of vegetable or fruit though except bananas.
The sweet and mushy paste isn't exactly disgusting but i just can't bring myself to eat it.
I would but only if forced to.

I don't drink carbonated beverages, which I forgot to mention. But that's more to do with them making me feel ill than the taste.

zOMG I'm like 3?!!! My tastes are just so unrefined. I should totally force myself to eat shit until it tastes good so I can be an adult.
You and most other people in this thread. :P

I love everything made of tomatoes, I'll eat them in a chili, I'll rock any salsa you put in front of me, but I just cannot eat them fresh. It sucks. I try them every month or so and I can't get past it at all.

But yeah, everything else rocks.

I hate strong cheese. That sh*t is vomit inducing. I love pizza, and will eat stuff thats mild but just not strong stuff. Dont even get me started on cheese sauce.

I don't care for most meats. My uncle was a butcher when I was young, and every so often he would bring free meat to my parents.

Thinking back on this now, I suppose he could have been a serial killer.

No idea what they're called in English, but they're absolutely disgusting.

Oh man, I almost forgot.

Cheese. I can't eat it. Childhood trauma induced by cheese-loving parent forcing me to chow down on some cheese and later spending the night vomiting made me swear off the cheese.

However, this only applies to "real" cheese. Synthetic cheese or stuff that is cheese flavoured I can pass. But actual, honest-to-goodness slab of cheese?

Makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

I used to hate it too, but then I was dared to have some steamed brocolli ... and it was f*cking great!

Try it with a little garlic butter. . . Yumm.

Someone mentioned celery earlier. I love eating it filled with peanut butter. There's enough water in the celery to prevent the peanut butter from getting sticky.
