For Honor Open Beta Feb 9 - Feb 12

Just not seeing how this is a $60 game.

Would play the hell out of it if it was F2P if they could figure out some working model. Tough to do since Gear gives you stats.

What more needs to be added until your enjoyment hits $60 worth?

Unsure. I'll have to play some more of the Open Beta ... possibly with friends to see if I enjoy it more than I did in my first foray.

I know there is a single player campaign which I know ZERO about.

I'm also a person who doesn't buy any of the iterations of Battlefield, CoD, etc.

This game has more content than you realize and I think it's well worth the $60 price tag.

BF and CoD has nothing to do with this.

Played this for the first time tonight, couldn't put it down for 2 hours lol.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with the season pass. The wording is confusing me. It says 6 heroes, but is it just 1 week early access to the heroes or are these DLC heroes that you get with the season pass but otherwise have to pay for?

Runs at 30 on the pro and doesn't seem to slow down really (that I've seen). I just wish it was 60. This game begs for 60.
Pretty much, if you've got any kind of machine that can play this at 60fps, that's where you need to put this game. 30fps means you miss berserkers switching up on you until you're dead.

Everyone gets the 6 heroes, but to recruit them and customize, you will probably have to pay a good chunk of steel. The season pass pretty much bypasses the charge and you can unlock immediately. That doesn't mean they can't play as the characters, just not upgrade and level their armor and such.

It's similar to Siege. You'll have to unlock them with in game currency, Steel, in order to use them if you don't get the season pass. So Season Pass holders get them 1 week early and get them for "free". It's not yet clear but it might turn out that you'll be able to play them once they are available but you just won't be able to earn experience or customize your character with gear until you unlock them.

Thanks, this sounds pretty fair. Now to determine if I want to plop down an extra $40 for this game lol. I guess I can always buy the pass later on I assume.

If you're on PC, gmg has the gold for $80. I'm holding out for a nvidia key, but will probably just grab something like that.

I would gladly do with Nioh does and sacrifice some visuals to hit 60.

As for other people grilling what constitutes something being worth $60, if i didn't have friends playing with me i wouldn't pay more than maybe $20 for it because i don't care about online competitive gaming unless i have friends to make it fun for me. The fact just me and one of my buddies played this game over almost 9 and a half hours straight today which is something i haven't done in about 15 years i will be buying it day 1.

Does this Beta include any of the single player campaign or is it just the multi-player aspect?

The beta is fun but idk if I can see myself playing this as much as I did Siege. Maybe the full game will have more maps or modes? Still need to get used to 2v1 battles because it's such a cluster fuck for new guys.

So just opening this beta is freezing my PC every 2 seconds. Is this some common Uplay thing? Never played a Ubisoft game on PC before, and never had any similar problem with any other game either.

Yeah this is kinda not that great playing on PS4 pro at 30 so I think I'll pass. I'd take a downgrade in IQ for 60 FPS. Oh well. Looks nice though and great concept.

How the hell is it not a 60 dollar game? And incredibly in depth new IP with new gameplay mechanics with a full featured multiplayer and single player. I mean Jesus Christ people are spoiled.

Also can I just say if you think 2v1 is unfair and a clusterfucker you frankly just need to get good. No shade being thrown you just don't know how to play the game yet. 2v1 is far from impossible hell I've seen 3v1 and even 4v1. I 2v1 every game and I'm no pro player.

30? Wow that sucks. If I get this it will have to be on PC.

The og PS4 is what holds the pro back from 60fps.

Sony won't allow multiplayer games to operate at different frame rates depending on what system the player owns. Something about unfair advantage even though the PC world has been doing it forever.

At least it won't be riddled with hackers and cheaters on console. 30fps is a small price to pay to be rid of hackers.

Do we know the PS4 PRO graphics specifics?

Sharper image, better shadows, and a locked 30fps from what I can tell. Digital foundry did a comparison on the closed beta.

Bruh this looks amazing even on Xbox One. Incredibly sharp too. Did they get this to run at 1080P on it? I was thinking of going with PS4 Pro for this but I'm surprised. Looks and runs great on Xbox.

Feels good to be back. :D

Tried the beta today on PS4 Pro (where I have it pre-ordered) and I enjoyed it, even if I mostly sucked.

I am possibly regretting playing on the PS4 instead of XB1 though as I forgot how bad the PS4 controller is with some games for me. Anything that has me holding the L2 button much (which this does) often causes cramps, and this did in about the first 10 minutes.

Dudes. Pick Conqueror and just run around the map bodyslamming people with your sprinting shield bash over and over. So dumb. :D

damn how do you even heal? I don't think they went over that in tutorial.

There are three (and a half) ways to heal.

First is going to either A or C that you control. That will heal you after a few seconds to full.

Second is using a feat to heal yourself. Different feats do different heals (some are AoE and heal the team while others are a small solo heal).

Third is picking up a heal power up in certain game modes.

I say and a half because you can technically get health from executions but that's not always an option.
