For Honor Open Beta Feb 9 - Feb 12

Lol. Having an amazing 1v3, actually winning, got all three on low health, and I get a final revenge activation that knocks all three on the ground. Everyone's lined up around me in such a way that my zone attack will probably kill all three.

I hit my zone attack.

Nothing happens.

I'm starting to actively despise the way this game handles inputs. :(

Possibly low on stamina before you used it.. as the zone attack consumes a shit ton of it

My favorite hero has to be kensei, like holy shit what an amazing unit. The only hero I struggled against was a good nobushi user.

Speaking of nobushi, I feel like they should fix her hidden stance on console. Even when keeping the joystick down It registers either left or right

jesus, I played that beta longer than the time i put into entire other games

Same, loved it in the end. Thought I hit a block on Friday and was getting bored but just kept jumping back in for more games over the weekend. Really tempted to get it on Tuesday now.

my final impression about the game is that it's great and a unique experience like never before

but the servers are fucked up, bad matchmaking, bad invitations, getting kicked mid game, and lag

i love the game but i'll wait for the reviews and see if they fixed the servers in the full game

I feel bad that a number of you guys had issues. I had a few but for the most part things ran quite smoothly. If anything, R6 Siege would be good evidence to suggest that they may be very determined to fix the issues and hopefully most of them get resolved at release.

Nah, nearly a full bar, I was weathering attacks while my revenge charged. I have a few instances every match where I press something while in neutral state and nothing comes out, or it comes out 3 seconds late like the input buffer went on vacation for a while.

Something about the way this game handles inputs continues to feel really strange to me even after like 20 hours of play. It's periodically unreliable in a way that would make me think my mouse and keyboard were dying if not for the fact that literally everything else on this machine behaves just fine. :\

also if you hook up a ps4 controller via usb then try to turn on a xbox one elite wireless controller on pc it crashes the game / uplay... took a whole hour to figure this out :(

Honestly ? thank god I played the beta as I don't think I will buy the game ever.

Maybe I didn't give it much time to judge it properly, but usually I like big multiplayer games and what I found here in the 4 vs 4 is I leave my opponent and rush to help my friend to take the opponent in 2 vs 1. then him and I both team up to kill the one who was following me like an idiot from the beginning of the game. ( since when you team up, you can kill that poor mfer in 2 swings)

over all, its really not very fun. not a 60$ fun at all.

I will wait for the single player review before I decide if its worth purchasing for the story ( I am praying to god there is a story mode... there is one no ? )

People crying about servers being bad.

Not me..i never have a problem matchmaking, never any lag, never get an error. In the past three days i have had two "hosts" quit and the game seems to pause and re-sync.

ALL good here.

Ok lol. It's clearly an issue for several people. It's not crazy for me all the time but the times it does happen get on my damn nerves.

You're one of the noobs who are ruining the multiplayer of this game. Be a man and face your opponent. Do not escape like an IDIOT.

Just got the boot from the servers. Good game. REALLY liking Nobushi. I may have to pick this up. I was able to get in 1 full game before the servers went down right now lol!

I feel like they're going to have to address parrys eventually. I play Nobushi and I *never* block only parry. You get so much advantage and it's so easy. They either have to tighten the window, or do something to offset the risk/reward.

I Hidden Stance after a light to bait a strike more than anything else. I agree with thinking the deflect/parry windows are WAY too active, but I come from a fighting game background, and this game makes those windows easily exploitable with my experience.

NOOOooooooo! Sigh just got my Warden to 20 and just a little to go for the next level up. So what do you keep from playing this beta? I'm gonna go through whithdrawals!

Enjoyed the beta quite a bit. Will think about purchasing this day 1, but I need to know where their mindset is at with future patches first.

I'm mainly wondering if this game will have a community or not because right now I can't tell if this is going to be a Rainbow Six Siege where the community keeps growing through word of mouth or an Evolve where the beta community was huge but no one bought the full game

This game lives or dies based on its community

had a rough time with the game at first, but gave it more of a chance and started to appreciate it more. One thing I don't understand that maybe you guys can help me with, is stamina and the ability to attack. I feel like I'm always on the defense - why are people able to attack indefinitely without getting tired or opening themselves up for a counter? I keep waiting and blocking but they literally don't stop

Final Impressions: Amazing game, absolutely love the gameplay and would have gotten this game on launch in a heartbeat but matchmaking and connection errors ruined it for me. I spent half the time seeing errors on my screen than actual fights.

I really hope they fix the connection/region/error issues at launch, if they do I'm in.

first of all watch ur mouth you freak. its a video game. maybe I should report you for insulting but whatever.

what you called running around I call it a strategic gameplay, if I wanted to play 1 on 1 I would have played 1 on 1. I mean Duh

I didn't get a chance to try it online but from all the streams I've watched it's just people spamming the cheapest combos/moves for each character.

It's kind of the opposite actually. The end-game meta at the moment involves fishing for parries and basically nothing else. Combos and unblockables are pretty much junk because they just function as parry bait.

The most vanilla character in the game, Warden, is also probably the best character simply because he's so good at baiting parries and capitalising on them.

Unless I'm completely misreading the game. This seems perfectly okay to play like a fighting game right? Pick your main, get good with your main, learn matchups, etc.

That's how I've been playing the beta, and how I'll probably play the main game.

Anyways, my mantra now is if it helps you win, do it. Running away is all part of the strategy, and specific classes are built with that in mind.

Learn to parry. It may be difficult at first but it helps enormously with dealing with attack-happy foes. I usually follow up with a guard break/throw into wall and it works 100% of the time.

Alternatively pick a character with a lot of armour frames and omni block like the heavy classes.
