Don't know if I can post this here, please lock if not, this is on /r/forhonor.

Going to quote incase it gets taken down, this is by "fhlkd" which is a fresh account (probably made only for this).

Everything above is running on Low and using FXAA.

When the game boots up it asks you your favorite faction (Vikings, Samurai, Knights), choosing it doesn't affect anything right now, probably fighting for your faction in the future or something.

You have your own emblem, can fully customize it however you want.

Independent of what faction you chose, you can use any class on combat.

There's 1v1 (Duel), 4v4 (Dominion) and 2v2 (Brawl) which is not available atm.

On 4v4 (and supposedly 2v2) anyone can be any class, so you have knights fighting with vikings against samurais for example.

Each faction has 2 classes (guessing that's gonna expand) making a total of 6 classes at the moment.

Vikings: Raider (two-handed axe, slow but powerful) and Berserker (two axes, fast).

Knights: Warden (greatsword, well balanced) and Conqueror (chained mace and shield, tank).

Samurai: Kensei (some sort of katana, same guy from the viking campaign trailer) and Orochi (very agile, same from the reveal).

You can choose male or female for any of these, each hero is fully customizable including colors, tatoos, symbols, all types of armor like head, chest, legs, arms, etc...

There's an in-game currency called Steel, but it's nicely balanced, you aren't grinding out your brains for anything.

There's emotes and executions (2 you can use while playing, there's another 2 you can purchase with your currency).

There are the feats from the reveal, each class or faction has different ones.

There are daily challenges and the like.
"6" maps, it's really 3 maps and the other three are just reusing assets from those, they're still different though, each map is based on a faction.

Lots of unused stuff, game still has more to show it seems.

The combat itself isn't hard but it isn't a piece of cake too, it's well-made though, the controls are nice.

You have your light attack, your heavy attack, a guard break, and unblockable and each class has a unique thing to them (for example Berserkers can charge enemies and grab them while doing so).

Maps have lots of environment you can use like ledges, spikes and fire.

You can do air attacks while looking down on a ledge.

NPC's (the smaller enemies) are killed with one attack, you can chain those attacks together.

While battling you can chain attacks and confuse your enemy by changing directions, the combat is full of mind games, but isn't very in-depth.

You can also parry.

Ask away.

EDIT - Account deleted ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It'll be better for all of us to wait for more official trailers and information to have in-depth discussions.

All this stuff is still being tuned, so whatever we read or see might not even be part of the final product :/

Anyway, glad to see that things are moving along. Six months to go...

UI looks like Rainbow Six Siege's. Not sure if it's placeholder or if Ubi is going for consistency across franchises.

It's about time people stopped treating info on upcoming games the same as classified intelligence.
These threads are the only ones you see Gaffers complaining about broken NDAs. It makes it super obvious who is in the beta.

Wow, I'm loving the customization! I've been following this game closely (no alpha test for me unfortunately) and I didn't realize it allowed you to customize that much.

given that this thread's topic isnt about what one thinks of the breaking of nda's, perhaps start a thread on that topic and see how it goes?

Nope talking to those already discussing it here. Deal.

Deplorable seems a little strong friend lol.
ok slightly better than barely above possibly frustrating. lol

Might be the best way to follow this one. With customization I love to be surprised.

I'd love it if they had a bot mode. 1-1 duel vs bots would be awesome.
Online will be fun too but that would be great to practice strategy and moves.

People, if somebody broke an NDA, why would GAF care? It's not like the site is breaking some NDA by showing the stuff that somebody else leaked.

They're called NDAs for a reason, games don't look very good while under active development and gamers are incredibly reactionary, for instance judging by these screens the visuals are toned down compared to the final product. It also affects the company that runs the tests. :|

Excited for customization, feels like a pretty major omission if they didn't put it in. Then again, I guess we know where the microtransactions will be.

I'm not so sure about this, the demo at E3 reminded me of rock-paper-scissors too.

I still feel sad leaking that hours worth of division alpha gameplay causing people to buy that terrible game lol

I'm really confused about the people mentioning the NDA. Like, are you not aware that every leak mentioned on here is from someone breaking their NDA, albeit anonymously? Even if you don't attach your name to a leak of information these projects are still under a NDA that is being broken by "leaking" such information. Odd amount of ignorance going on here, I guess.

Yep.

And I say this as someone who generally doesn't like spoilers of things I'm going to watch/play.

It's just features of the game, who cares beyond the marketing team whether or not you find what there is to do.

On topic: Game sounds good, parries should be expected in these types of games though, to be honest.

Sucks that there are only 3 unique maps based on factions. Hopefully 'unused assets' relate to more map variety. It's a plague to lots of multiplayer games.

I went from having no interest in this game to really wanting to pick it up. The more I see, the more I'm sold. Really caught me off guard, especially since stuff with vikings, samurai, or knights usually aren't my thing.
Edit: Lol @ the NDA discussion. Why should anyone care? Especially since the game looks great, not like this info is gonna hurt the game.

Looks like it is shaping up very nicely. I didn't know that each of the three factions had two classes. That's awesome. I'm excited to see which new factions they add post release. I have my fingers crossed for Egyptians and Canadians. IMO, the greatest feature of this game is local split screen couch co-op in multiplayer.

Couldn't this guy get sued? Me and a few buddies did some NDA gaming before and we had to sign a lot of shit involving legal agreements just to continue, and I mean a lot. I don't do it now because it required me at times I wasn't on (work times) I'm all for leaks, but after doing some NDA games myself, it always surprises me some people are open to getting caught and even sued.

Either way, I'm damn well looking forward to this game and can't wait to completely deck out my Knight, Viking or Samurai.

When a game is clearly not readu releasing info on it can harm the game in the long run and wecan runinto miss information thanks to only seeing stuff about incomplete systems.

The people outside of Ubisoft who are testing this are being paid. Though there may be some unpaid testers as well

I forgot I got an email accepting me into the beta. Not paid.

I'm pretty sure people signed up for this for free right after the game was announced IIRC.
