Reminds me of G Gundam.

omg this is amazing!

This is one of the reasons why I tried to stop watching anime, Japanese people are racist as hell. My cousin is teaching High School English in Japan, she told me that one kid asked her if her vagina was as big as her lips.

She should had said. "See that's the kind of commentary that got you guys bombed in the first place".

Thanks. So this show doesn't seem to like the US lol.

We have people complaining about Halloween being celebrated here as well ^^ though it has become irrelevant now.

Yeah, the show is very Japanese centric. Though they still manage to have a lot of foreigners on it, just to make fun of them.

Jada Kins from Tokyo Tribe 2 is an interesting example. He's an unstoppable mafia enforcer who rather than speaking Japanese uses PSP translation software that speaks in a childish voice for him. Apart from being big and scary he's not much of a stereotype.

WOW !

That G Gundam gets better and better ... Ferrari Gundam ??? VIKING Gundam ? xD

And ... those Swedes totaly stole that blueprint from japan =P

What is the samurai Gundam from? Which series?

I .. don't know xD

I remember seeing a samurai gundam so I just put "samurai gundam" on google hehehe

but more googling gave me that he is Musha Gundam

Some examples from Keroro/Sgt. Frog...

Shion_ep356a_03_zps4cdbfd6d.jpg

Japanese girl (Momoka to the left), and French girl (Shion) on the right. Shion is played almost completely straight as a character. They didn't even give her an accent or anything. They also consistently drew her eyes differently from the Japanese characters and gave her more pronounced cheek-lines without making her look like a parody. Her name is kind of stupid though, "Felicitashion", with "Shion" being a nickname used by her friends.

On the other hand... Here's an earlier example of a more stereotypical, American, foreigner.

MelodyHoney_ep172_03_zpsbd7f45ad.jpg

"Melody Honey" has a pronounced accent and was often used for foreigner jokes. Well, and for jokes about people who like unfunny Japanese comedy. Also, there was no effort to make her face design really any different from the Japanese characters. She actually came from other works of the manga's author also appearing in Seven of Seven and Arcade Gamer Fubuki. They changed her facial structure to be closer to Shion's when she appeared in the 4th Keroro movie (where Shion debuted), but they went back to her standard design right afterwards in the tv show.

But .. that said, THERE IS at least one samurai gundam ...

The generic Gundam design itself is basically a giant white and blue colored Samurai armor. Look at the face plate, with the "beard" and helmet shape. That's why they had to color the added on armor to the "Musha" Gundam reddish to make it stand out, otherwise people wouldn't notice that it was specifically a Samurai themed compared to other Gundams.

Strictly in Japan, or is this a Western thing too?

Seems like it's a western thing..

Think Storm from X-Men and
uhh
Jax from Mortal Kombat (Well, not so much that he uses electricity. He has the whole cyborg thing going on.)

Remember that Static Shock show? I'm sure there are many others.

wat? Where is this from? This is already amazing.

Zettai Karen Children Presents: Hyobu Kyosuke The Unlimited.

Might as well stop playing Japanese games while you're at it.

Canadian's are almost always depicted as lumberjacks in anime, and if not then socially inept to the point of being mentally handicapped.

Paradise King from one of the Shin Chan films. Yells out Dynamite!! at several points and is introduced with the song "Kung Fu Fighting".

Also, this creepy pair from Zatch bell...

Tenjho Tenge

Had one fo the best anime opening songs ever. In the Manga Bob pretty much disapears, but does get a girl. Who gets raped, but pretty much everyone gets raped in an Oh Great Book.

thought he ended up being ranked 3 in the school and becoming that one dudes student the guy with the perfect defense.

Why the hell don't they draw the lips right, no one bloody else has details on their lips, why do just the black dudes do.

Honestly, this is news to me... Then again, I'm not black, so maybe I just haven't noticed it.

Eden of the East.

Didn't they hire native English speakers for the VAs?

Not only that, but they basically nailed downtown DC in the first episode.

Only other anime I can think of with mixed native English and Japanese speakers on one voice track is Blood: the Last Vampire.
