ZOMBIE GOASTSUgh... zombies (or some derivative of it) again?
Because only shooters can demands $60 at retail while games with colors and no killing must of course be downloadable.
I'm truly beginning to hate shooters but yes, I would have preferred a shooter to whatever it is this game is going to be.
Not profitable enough
If CliffyB is hearing this, I would gladly buy a full retail copy of Shadow Complex 2, to get you more money. SC = <3
Meh...
But I wasnt expecting something spectacular though.
I wish this will be their last game using that kind of art style.
What you have just described is called Minecraft.Minecraft? Terraria?
Did we watch the same trailer?
Looks to me like you go explore a world to find items to improve your base. Then it turns into CoD zombies.
But.. Samaritan.
I dont get it how people see minecraft in it.
You build something at day and get attacked at night is that something that is what embodies minecraft i always thought it was the cubes with simple graphics, that was the reason with fortressCraft.
And more of something good is bad?
Yep.I don't think it is simply the crafting component that is causing people to think "Minecraft." It's the crafting in conjunction with a day/night cycle involving monsters.
I think the most notable other note is that the teaser was put out to attract publishers. So, here's a rundown of what we know about this game at the moment:
Sources: Forbes article, Lee Perry's Twitter
- It combines survival horror (?) with tower defense like strategic gameplay
- Build a fortress during the day by destroying other structures and scavenging parts, defend it and shoot zombies during the night
- Third person gameplay
- Multiplayer experience
- Developed with Unreal Engine technology (not explicit mention of UE3, oddly)
- More similar to Minecraft than the other games being mentioned
- No publisher yet; trailer was apparently used to catch the eye of publishers, not only gamers, which explains...
- Unclear on which platforms it'll release for
- Unclear on what pricing model it'll use
Anything else?
We can pretty much expect this to be a XBLA/PSN/PC type game.Anything else?
If its like Minecraft it'll get boring in a month or two.
but not if its like terraria then youll dumb all your life into it
When I saw the video die2nite came to mind

Yeah, it's pretty much a given. And here I thought they were going to surprise us with a full retail release... but Epic is a very conservative developer. We can pretty much expect this to be a XBLA/PSN/PC type game.
Is this a retail release or a downloadable release? If its downloadable. . .surely they could publish it themselves.
