FoV and why it should be expected as a baseline option

Theres a bug in BF3 (on consoles) that increases the FOV in jets to 80-90 and had no ill effect on performance. It was great.

I can see developers opting for the low FOV on consoles due to comfy couch gaming, but an option would be nice.

Not it's not. It's also obviously not restricted to certain players but open to everyone, so everyone can customize it however they feel more confortable.
You can change the FOV in any Quake or Unreal game, it's just lazy developing.

Really don't understand people who don't think that more options could be a bad thing.
 
Wolfenstein TNO is the worst offender I can think of. On PS4, think the FOV is something like 45, I'm sure my normal panoramic vision is larger than Blasko's

Yes, but Blasko's shouldn't match yours. Not unless your eyes are in the same place as his, I.e. touching the TV screen.
