It's either people getting their news spoon-fed from biased media (hey there, Fox News), or a byproduct of the quickly escalating Islamaphobia that has taken the US over in recent times.

The Islamaphobes are the same ppl as the ones getting their news spoon-fed from biased media

-Glenn Beck and Greg Gutfeld discuss this serious issue-

God I hate Glenn Beck, but I was laughing out loud throughout that whole thing.

While I agree that this is disrespectful to families effected by 9/11 as well as being an unnecessary provocation towards the Muslims who are trying to build the Mosque, I just can't help myself. This is too funny. I vote that it should be named "Ji-Hot"

Figured I add this, Gutfeld was looking for a response from the Mosque Organizers. Well, he apparently just got one:

Hmm so this guy is saying that opening the gay bar is insensitive to Muslims.

Where did I hear that before? Except it was "it's insensitive to the people who suffered on 9/11".

Tolerance, lulz. Love the tolerance they have here in Indonesia. It was only two days ago when a pack of Muslim fanatics beat church members in Bekasi (just outside Jakarta) with sticks and stones for holding an open-air prayer service on the church's private land. They hope to build a church on the property but have been waiting to get approval from the local government for 3 years. Then a few weeks ago another group of Muslim fanatics violently attacked members of the Ahmadi sect of Islam since they believe in a prophet after Muhammad. I might mention that the government here has officially banned Ahmadi Islam after receiving pressure from mainline Muslim organizations, even though it has approximately 300,000 followers. But yeah, the often times violent intolerance in Muslim countries is not at all because of the religion itself but of the Islamic leadership.

No american muslims suffered on 9/11 did they. Extremist were resposible, not Islam. Get this into your head. Its for reasons outside islam, mainly middle east meddling and Israeli support.

Because I'm sure many homosexuals will frequent a bar run by gay-hating conservatives to be used as pawns against Muslims.

I'd love to see investor money roll in and the bar completely bomb.
Exactly. It will bomb.

Well sure; the entire point of this troll was to evoke that reaction.

What happens if Straight people goto the bar instead? I mean, can you make a place a Gay bar?

Many straight, non-homophobic people DO go to gay bar too, y'know. Especially girls because they know they are not going to be hassled by guys trying to come on to them. Sure, sometimes a few cretins come to the bar just to hit on the girls but these cretins will get hit on too by gay guys. And if they make a scene for getting hit on by gay guys, they'll get thrown out. After all, it's a gay bar. What sets it apart from other type of bars is that abuse against gay guys is not tolerated.

I think he should do it, but I doubt he actually will.
Never mind that it's basically using gay people as a tool, or that it's the equivalent of a juvenile prank. I really would love to see his picture taken in front of the building with the lease, a copy of his book in hand.

Well if you really think about it the Fox news crowd would think that the two things that caused 9/11 were right next to each other, moslems and teh gays!

Wow @ FOX News playing "Which do I hate more?"

Brilliant :lol

:lol No it's not. It's a childish response. It's an attempt to create tension, which he will fail at. It's not the act; it's the intent that makes it childish.

If people think this is brilliant, may God have mercy on our future as humanity.

Just let the Muslims worship, and let their numbers drown out whatever filth this guy decides to build there in his failing attempt to get a rise out of others. It's not like he can do anything about the huge numerical growth Islam is experiencing. The prevalence of masjids in the US and elsewhere will only increase with time. In some cases, those masjids will be built in areas some will find offensive.
