NEW YORK Jan 4, 2005 — Television viewers gave a collective shrug to Fox's attempt to turn a daughter's search for her birth father into a game show.

"Who's Your Daddy?" was seen by 6.3 million viewers Monday, fourth in its time slot, according to Nielsen Media Research. The Fox special starred a woman who picked her birth father from a group of seven impostors for a $100,000 prize.

The Sugar Bowl between Auburn and Virginia Tech was seen by 14.8 million viewers in the 8 p.m. hour, Nielsen said. CBS comedies and NBC's "Fear Factor" each got about five million more viewers than "Who's Your Daddy?"

Adoption advocates protested the special, and tried to get Fox affiliates not to air it. In the end, viewer indifference will likely doom the concept "Who's Your Daddy?" continues a trend of lackluster ratings for new reality shows.

I watched (much of) the show and it seemed 'fake' and mostly stupid. I'm glad reality shows are starting to take a dive because I hate looking for the remote :)

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Can't decide on what's more ghetto... That show, or the Jamster ads. The 'Baby Daddy' one specifically.

It turns out the the fake titty bitty who was the center of all this nonsense last night has some softcore porn in her background, as well as modelling for Majesco's Bloodrayne 2. The site's safe, btw.

Time to go rent "Seduction of Innocence"!

FOX is doing us all a service by speeding up the death of Reality TV. I mean the cream (ought to) always rises anyways, so at least this should ward off the low-concept shows.

So many bad reality shows.

And yet nothing as nearly as hillariously absurd as that one show. I forget the name, but it was like a big game of Clue in a New England town. Except for whatever reason the inhabitants of this town were called "Sweepers" and all they did was wander around the town like zombies sweeping stuff. It made absolutely no sense. :lol

Anyone know more about this show? I always wondered how it ended.

Murder In Small Town X.

That show had potential... the biggest problem with it was that the mystery was inherently unsolvable, and therefore uninsteresting. It was basically a crapshoot at the end. Pffbt.

That's what happens without a strong male figure in a young woman's life. :(
