Friendly Reminder: Cats Don't Take No Shit

A friend of mine was a volunteer at a zoo and the alpha lion there didn't like one of the baby cubs, so she took the cub home to take care of him until he could fend for itself or the zoo had extra space.

That lion had paws larger than my hand by the time he was six months old and when she'd take him out for walks he'd start stalking little kids until she pulled real hard on the leash. I stopped visiting her by that point as I was terrified of that lion cub.

Still, that lion would not dare incur the wrath of my friend's 12 year old cat. She would put that lion in his place if he ever stepped out of line. She was the boss of that household and she made sure the lion never forgot that.

I love cats, but they are bad to the bone. Except for my black cat who would never ever claw on anyone no matter what. The gentlest cat I've ever met. Sadly he was eaten by a python.

Uhhh..

LMAO!!!

Man that gif is straight out a lonney tunnes cartoon! The eyes of the raccoon as it's being thrown out is hilarious!

What is the story behind this asshole? Why the hell did he toss that raccoon? And why are you laughing? Are you a 14-year old POSTING FOR THE LULZ?

The raccoon was attacking the dude's dog, so he chucked it. I would do the same, if necessary. That said, I don't really find the GIF funny in any way.

I gotta say, some of you take kicking snow as a pretty serious assault...

I'd be enraged if she was kicking the actual cat or swinging a board or something but snow? i kick snow at my dog for fun, he loves it.

It was kinda dumb what she was doing but I question the sanity of those who consider snow-kicking to be this extreme attack

I think the point is there is no way for the cat to know if it is an extreme attack, it's an animal and she was messing with it. Of course I don't think she is a bad person or anything. I don't believe she meant any harm, but it's hard to feel sorry for her at the same time since she could have just left it alone.

For the next match, that cat VS the Raccoon tossing guy.

The way his eyes glinster when hes falling down the stairs is just perfect comedy timing lmao.

Its like how in every Pokemon episode Team Rocket gets blown away.

Are you?

The story behind that is that the guy his dog was getting attacked by that raccoon.

wow. did not see that coming.

Looks like your typical feline neighborhood bully. Nothing surprising. I've seen a few of them over the years and to put it bluntly, they don't fuck around. Anything and anyone is fair game and you can bet your ass that they have full claws, agility, finesse and teeth at their disposal. Just be glad that we aren't allowed to have cats larger than housecats as pets or we'd have an absolute slaughterhouse on our hands. Especially when you know you are pissing them off.

I have witnessed your typical tattooed self-proclaimed badass with his 'ban the breed not the deed' sticker on the back of his gas guzzler let his big and tough german shephard out to chase a cat away only to find his loyal sack of shits eyes ripped out of his skull clean by a feral cat who couldn't have been no more than 10 pounds.

This dogs tail stopped waggling in a hurry lol. Nice try lady. Take a seat.

I'm laughing because the gif is funny. It's not that different from the people laughing at that woman getting her face clawed. Stop being so sensible on the internet.

It got put down, good. That thing was vicious, I can only imagine what it would have done to a mischievous child if a little snow made it react like that.

oh spare me the "think of the children" bullcrap....

I've encountered many shitty cats while delivering mail. Walk up on the porch and startle them and they get mean. I'm very liberal with the pepper spray now. It works way better than snow and after a couple applications they tend to leave you alone.

=)

this is why no one likes the psot office, you lose our packages and attack our pets.

what

You have to put down an animal to check for rabies.

it's so stupid to assume that any animal that attacks a person must be rabid. maybe they are just pissed off.

So this woman rescued this cat from being put down..
Took care of the cat along with 3 others.
Cat was "sweet" but one day attacks dog.
Woman tries to shoo the cat away by kicking snow.
Cat lunges at woman's face.
Cat put down.

It is an unfortunate series of events but I don't see how the woman is wrong here.

The woman's house is surrounded by a chain link fence and a gate. I'm not privy to this stuff about the cat attacking the dog, but whatever. She's clearly larger than the cat. She's outside of the fence. She kicks snow at it three times and after the third time the cat says, no, you are going down. It'd be one thing if she just kicked snow at it once and it went off, but she repeatedly kicked snow at it. It's a dick move. You can shoo cats away by other means.

That and the dog looks like it's wearing some kind of clothing FFS, which is just wrong.

You can tell when cats are pissed. They'll puff up their fur and their tail fur and start hissing and growling. That cat looks like it's minding it's own business and the woman is fucking with it.

Also, cat doesn't even go in with the hind legs. Cats go for the kill with the back legs.

To me it just looks like the cat was trying to protect itself after being assaulted. I've met plenty of stray, feral cats that were awesome. I've never met a feral cat that wasn't, a, afraid of humans, and, b, fucking awesome once the realized you weren't going to do something shitty to it.

That cat wasn't going to be shooed. It had no human shyness like a domesticated kitty and it will go bananas at any provocation like a feral. And the first thing it does when she leaves is make a bee line for the dog. That's not even normal by cat standards.

She wasn't shooing the cat. She was kicking snow at it, and it defended itself.

I live in a neighborhood with a ton of cats and dogs. They mingle, check each other out, sit around and stare at each other. Our next door neighbor has two outdoor cats and two dogs. The cats are quite often sitting there staring down the dogs. It's perfectly normal cat behavior.

If she didn't want the cat around she should have just bitten it in the head. It's the language they understand.

Leave the cat alone and it won't bother you. Lady should have just got the dog inside if she felts the cat growling was upsetting her dog. There is no evidence that the cat has any problem, she attacked it first its a normal reaction.

I love when people try to mess with cats and lose. Cats <3
