they made him a regular-ass frog

first they made him a furry (as furry as frogs can be)

now he is a regular-ass frog

Okay, Konami.

THIS IS NOT THE FROGGER I REMEMBER FROM THE PS1, DO NOT WANT.
Kidding.

Most people will see that frogger on the iphone is 99 cents and frogger on the 3DS is $40. They're different games, but most people will think they're about equivalent and go with the 99 cent version. Nobody is going to buy this crap at $40. I don't think it would sell that well at $20.

The iphone is actually a great thing for the 3DS and PSVita because the shovelware will not sell at all on those platforms. Once the shovelware publishers see they are wasting their time and money with the 3DS/PSVita they will stick to the iphone/android. The only thing that will sell on the 3DS/PSVita are high quality products that are a good value at $40. I hope that's what happens

Looks entertaining. Might pick it up if it's on sale. Hope it supports StreetPass in some way.
Yes it does. You can exchange endless mode ghost data. I'm not sure if they revealed yet what the "battles" are that are done over Street Pass.

Ghost data? Meh. "Battles"? Interesting...

If it were an eShop game, I would buy it. As a full price retail game? No fucking way. If it's gonna waste space in my shelf, it must be worth it.

Same for me. Eshop or a 29,99 max price or no buy.

Looks good to me. I'm cautiously optimistic. Probably won't buy at $40 (that's true of pretty much any 3DS game though), but would consider biting at $30 or below.

At first I was bummed they went back to a regular ol frog (I thought the mildy anthro'd Frogger with the backpack wound up looking really appealing after it got redesigned from its initial horrible appearence in Frogger The Great Quest) but then the screenshots kept becoming more insane and ended with A FROG IN SPACE

100% on board.

Visually nothing special, but the videos made me think - that actually looks quite good / fun. The second video with the spotlight beams and stuff will probably look quite cool in 3D too. They need to pack it with content to make it worth the price, or price it at a more budget kinda level though imo. Looks like the kind of game that could benefit from a demo when Nintendo start doing them too.

Good luck playing frogger well on a touchscreen.

For $5-10 on the eShop I might be interested. Retail? Hell no.

Wasn't this trailer shown at E3? Seems familiar.
Oh, you are right, it's still the same trailer! I guess this could just serve as the preview/info thread until it is released, I guess.

I don't know if I'm looking forward to it or not, but Tak Fuji specifically said that if you play it, your finger will be trouble. So I kinda wanna try it now. :P

In reality, though, it does look a lot better than it used to.
