I believe so. It was an original song for the film at least, and based on the lyrics I'd assume they wrote it with the tribute in mind. Goddamn, it gets me every time though.
That whole tribute, but song included, is really special. Say what you will about F&F, about the quality of the writing or the ridiculousness of the movies, but that was one of the most special moments I've ever seen in any movie, ever. Tere's been other movies where cast members died halfway through and it kind of made their preformances that much more impactful, like The Dark Knight. But I've never seen a cast, crew and studio go all in to honor their friend and coworker like that, and in such a touching and classy way. If this movie and series is remembered for anything in the future, I hope it's that.
