I miss you, Paul. :'(

The ending had me on the verge of a breakdown. My wife started crying, but I tried to suck it up...

The movie was quite bad for me to be honest. Tried to enjoy the action but everything else was just too distracting. Plus the cheesy cliched dialogue was cringeworthy. Just couldn't concentrate on the actual movie. Best parts

- Race Wars - god dam at that asian girl :o
- The end fight between dom and shaw
- The ending itself.

I did not cry but it was really touching and I have rewatched the ending scene on YT at least 10 times since I saw the movie. The whole scene was done perfectly.

I wish that IRL when someone you cared about died they got a montage, a soundtrack and you got to say goodbye to them before they left for good. That is much better than the system we currently have.

RIP Paul Walker. Hope you are in a better place.

I'll have to say that the opening scene with Shaw is balls out awesome.

Statham sells that shit. However, I never quite bought Shaw as a true villain in the movie. He was just sort of there to provide trouble. I was even rooting for him at some points.

Jason Statham has just played that anti-hero so many times that it's hard to get mad at him.

who is that?

The only appropriate response to that question:

Damn. Did they have that song written specifically as a tribute to Walker ?
I believe so. It was an original song for the film at least, and based on the lyrics I'd assume they wrote it with the tribute in mind. Goddamn, it gets me every time though.

That whole tribute, but song included, is really special. Say what you will about F&F, about the quality of the writing or the ridiculousness of the movies, but that was one of the most special moments I've ever seen in any movie, ever. Tere's been other movies where cast members died halfway through and it kind of made their preformances that much more impactful, like The Dark Knight. But I've never seen a cast, crew and studio go all in to honor their friend and coworker like that, and in such a touching and classy way. If this movie and series is remembered for anything in the future, I hope it's that.

If you leave behind the shaky and "oh look the guy is doing a flip so we should flip the cam"-stuff and the story (which, by any means isnt really that important in that franchise) Its actually a really good popcorn-movie. I mean i laughed out loud in between, likes the action and same of the touchy feely stuff.
..and then you get to the end and get one of the best sendoffs in the history of cinema. The handled the whole situation with so class and respect and it worked out perfectly. I mean they could have easily killed the character off in between in one of Pauls action scenes...and made up a whole ULTIMATE revenge trilogy for shit. but they didnt.

this was pretty disappointing. definitely one of the weaker entries in the series. sits neatly alongside the fourth and second.

i didn't even know what the plot was halfway through the film, that's a pretty bad sign. and i kinda checked out at the final action setpiece. plus they really wasted the rock, people's champ is too charismatic to drop off at the hospital, and the villain in here was kinda poorly included. luke evans was much better in 6. the airdrop-road chase was great though.

that ending was beautiful though, brian's car hitting the crossroad with the montage was so good. one last ride indeed. kind of think it would be in poor taste to carry on this series. not to mention it's kind of reached it's peak in bombastic-ness.

might be my last ride too.

5>6>7>4>2>1>3

7's too high brah.

5>6>1>7=3>2>4

Transformers : Age of the Furious . Believe.

I find it strange so many people couldn't follow the plot. Its so basic, and wasn't hard to follow at all. I didn't have an issue following anything throughout the entire film.

Maybe there were too many action scenes that distracted people away from why they were doing those things in the first place.

The most ludicrous one of the franchise, how are they going to top that :lol :lol

Overall I enjoyed it a lot, the tribute to Paul at the end was really nice, almost had a lump in my throat while watching it.

The Rock was underused, which was a shame as he's easily the best thing in these films since joining the series :( hopefully they'll give him a bigger role in 8.

Yeah, seriously. I like how the movie subtly transitions out of being a fictional movie and into a tribute. In the end, it's not Dominic Toretto talking to Bryan; it's Vin Diesel talking to Paul. It's beautiful.

Just got back from seeing it and wow what a fucking ride that was. I was thoroughly entertained. But man that ending. It was so beautifully done, I had to fight back those tears. It will probably stay with me for a while.

The official trailer revealed key scenes that I wished were not shown. This is my first time feeling this about a trailer.

Also
Was Bow Wow casted or did they show an old scene? it is a shame that he only appeared for few seconds.

I'm pretty sure that scene is ripped straight out of Tokyo Drift.

Saw this this past Saturday. Liked it. Loved the send off at the end. Kind of wish the story was leaner akin to 5 and 6.
The God's Eye and Ramsey story beats seemed completely unnecessary and redundant especially since D.Shaw showed up everywhere Vin's crew was within minutes. Also you do not sideline The Rock for most of the film. Just no.

My rankings: 5>6>7>3>1>>>>>2 and 4.

rock was filming Hercules at the same time, so acting constraints.....next time he knows what movie not to do as a major title XD

Yo, someone's gonna have to explain to me why

Han and Gisele are credited in the opening credits. Are they in flashbacks that I forgot? Was their footage cut, Rogue style? After all..

I DIDN'T SEE NO BODY

PS Tokyo Drift is ass

i was thinking back on this movie and realized that a movie about cars, driving and racing didnt actually have any scenes where they showcased good driving. Maybe a few parts at the end with the drone but not really.

it actually did the complete opposite where there was not one but two moments where two cars just plow straight into each other LOL.

Even the additional scenes he has near the end were filmed after the movie got delayed, if it had been on track, he was only supposed to be in the opening to establish Statham's character.

Haha yea that was so dumb.

hey lets use god's eye to find shaw. We go from being the hunted to being the hunter.... while the whole time they were doing the ramsey thing shaw was hunting them.

Should of just group the team up in an alley and wait for shaw to come then 5v1 his ass.

People are often credited for
footage from previous films
.
The scene from Tokyo Drift with Han is shown briefly and Gisele is shown in a photograph, so they probably credited them for that.

the
god's eye thing is still the stupidest thing to add to this franchise...their street racers, not international spies

should of stopped at 5...6 and 7 are just too ridiculous now

if there is an 8th one..i hope the roster gets a major change up

Han appears on the computer screen when Deckard fights Hobbs and in photos at his funeral. Gisele in the photo Sean gives to Dom from Han's wreck, and which Dom places on Han's memorial at his funeral.

Image must have been enough to count for credit in t heir contracts--honestly I've never been sure how that works.

"should have"

There will be an 8 and it will almost certainly involve a shakeup behind the camera--Wan wants to stick to The Conjuring 2 and Lin to Trek 3. I'd imagine the cast will have a lot of overlap, can't see Luda or Tyrese turning down more of these let alone Rodriguez or Vin. Vin will probably want Chris Morgan to write again too, but who knows.

I hope Ramsey sticks around.

Whatever they do I hope Universal doesn't make the same mistake and push that shit for a release next year. Give it 2 years time.

I was laughing so hard at that.
We need to find Shaw! WELL HE'S RIGHT THERE. There he is again! And here he is right in front of you, for the third time!

Ahhh, that makes sense.
But in the opening, though? I would've just buried em in the normal cast at the end. Made me freak out a bit

I never even thought about it, but if it wasn't for the delay....there would have only been a one year delay between 6 and 7.....thats insane for how much money was poored into 7.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Turbo Charged Prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)
Fast & Furious (2009)
Fast Five (2011)
Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
Furious 7 (2015)

That's insane, I didn't even really notice we had a 2 year release for every movie outside of the revival of it with TD and F&F

So the new TV ads running are spoiling the ending, I mean really, I read the spoilers and they show clips of the last moments of the film

You see the "One Last Ride" slogan come up the penultimate scene, furious 7 logo then the climax to the scene, I mean come the FUCK on

Everyone shits on 3, but I liked it. It was based on my high school years. Except I didn't crash a Viper, but my 91 Chevy Corsica needed new spark plugs. And instead of sending me to Japan, my folks sent me to a private baptist school. And "DK" stood for dungeon keeper, since I beat the local drug dealer in D&D. But everything else was inspired by my real life.

just checked it.....unless you haven't seen the film AND someone tells you what it is.....you would not have a clue. Plus the music really makes the ending special....without it, not as much feels.....but damn that song is so good.
Still it's like the Quarantine poster. Showing the literal end of your movie in a trailer just seems off IMO

Yes it still is a weird move....because one way or another they will be told...or they will find out and just wtf the moment because they showed it in the trailer.

Watched the movie yesterday. Gotta say I'm really happy how they handled Paul's ending.

If they actually killed Paul's character like the movie was hinting about then I would be disappointed but instead he was now on the beach with his wife and kid looking at the sky. That was really powerful.

And that scene where Diesel and Walker were driving side by side then branched off different lanes...

I'm gonna cry now T.T

RIP Paul <3

I felt like the ending montage with Paul was kind of weird. I understand why they did it and everything and I thought it worked thematically but blurring the lines between Paul Walker irl and his character in the films just felt a little weird to me.

Also the actions scenes were a lot worse than the ones in the previous two films.

Didn't like the movie much overall.
