Even better, two words alone did it. The sheer simplictiy of it is what made it so great. I just noticed that thread ran for thirty-two freaking pages. :lol
 
Also, can someone link to the thread where RE4 was announced for PS2 also? I wasn't around back then, but I heard it was hilarious.
 
I dunno about a specific thread about this but the craziness that was going on in GAF's irc channel when the PS3 trailers were released was insanely hilarious.

I searched for RE4 instead of the full title - slogged through 8 pages of threads to find it. :lol

The PD0 unveiling is up there, but I didn't mention it because Wall Guy was basically a spin-off thread.
 
i missed gahiggidy's setup thread somehow...i must have mistaken it for one of those actual setup threads no one wants to see. "rare sux" :lol
 
I was going through the RE4 thread, and am surprised that Capcom not only announced it before the GC version was out, but TWO FUCKING months before it! Good god.

Not really.

MGS3 is still a 2005 game to Europeans even though Americans played it in 2004. That's how it's able to beat Splinter Cell twice.

I was making an analogy. The thread was made in 2004, so it's pretty cut and dried.

But the game was released in 2005 EVERYWHERE.

The vast majority of the thread didn't get going until last year. It could go either way.

The mass denial from Xbots, the many Kaz "game over bitches" photoshops, the post about Allard flipping out, saying 'fuck this $hit, I quit" after viewing the trailer. There were a few other memoriable comments, but it was an respective thread in GAF terms

How on Earth did I miss the Gahigiddy's setup thread? That stuff just made me laugh like perhaps nothing I've seen on this forum ever did. Those pictures and the post a bit down the thread are both just genius.
