Do stuff.
Make a list of things, big and small, you would like to do. Do at least one every day, no excuses. No, that you're sick is not an excuse. No, that you're tired is not an excuse. No, that you forgot is not an excuse. No, that you had other plans is not an excuse.
Ever made a pizza from scratch? Cheese-stuffed meatballs? Eel? Can you cook at all? Speak any other languages? Do you ever exercise? When was the last time you did a puzzle? Is there a museum in your town you haven't been to? How messy is your bedroom or your kitchen or your bathroom? Surrounded by junk and in need of spring cleaning? When was the last time you got up for a sunrise? Are you an organ donor? Do you vote--and if not, is it because "you don't know enough to", because now's your chance to rectify that? Know anything about jazz? About wine? About beer? About ducks? Ever been to a nature sanctuary? Every went rock climbing? Beach bonfire? How many of the top GoodReads books have you read? How many of the IMDB top movies have you watched? Play an instrument? Caught up on all your TV shows? Got a backlog? Ever try yoga? When was the last time you went to a park? Public swim? Sauna? Ever ridden a motorcycle? Ever played golf? Have any plants? How much do you know about them? You know those friends you haven't spoken to in years and keep meaning to talk to--today is as good a day as any to talk to them. Ever had sushi? Ever painted? Every spraypainted? Every skinny dipped? When was the last time you volunteered? How clean are your cupboards? Checked your favourite stores for any deals lately? Read a magazine--a real magazine, I mean, with actual long-form journalism stuff in it? Taken a photography class? Went skiing? Climbed a tree? How about fireworks? Barbeque? Been to a bar? Been to a dance bar? Been to a gay bar?
There are plenty of things to do in life. They all help you pass time. One thing a day, at least, and don't let that one thing be an excuse not to do two.
