Gaf, Let's Create Our Dream Pokemon Teams

Let's play a game. We're going to make teams for Pokemon of each type. Post a Pokemon with a Type according to the one above including an ability, a move list, and an item if you wish. Then, the next person posts another Pokemon with that same Type until we reach six and the seventh person picks another Type and it continues until we get teams for all 18 Types.

Legendaries and dual Types are allowed. Pokemon can not repeat on the same team, but can show up on another team if their typing suits. Pokemon revealed for Sun & Moon are allowed, but since we don't know the entire move roster for the game yet, just use ones that we know of.

First up:

Normal

Snorlax
Ability: Thick Fat
Item: Leftovers
Moves: Rest, Sleep Talk, Earthquake, Giga Impact

Gaf Teams so far:

Normal
snorlax.gif
115-mega.gif
smeargle.gif
chansey.gif
miltank.gif
pidgeot.gif

Snorlax, Kangaskhan, Smeargle, Chansey, Miltank, and Pidgeot

Looks like Gaf prefers pure Normal types with a lot of bulk.

Electric
luxray-f.gif
raichu.gif
642.gif
ampharos-mega.gif
lanturn.gif
electivire.gif

Half are pure Electric types, but given that Electric has hardly any dual types with most of them coming from Rotom forms, it's understandable. The Mega Pokemon of choice was Mega Ampharos with its unique Electric/Dragon Typing. The odd choice here is Lanturn. It has a unique type, but I found its movepool lacking and the moveset is quite an odd one with no STAB moves at all for the little fish. Gaf's Electric team is highly offense based with powerful special attacks. Thundurus and Mega Ampharos are the two on this team to look out for.

Steel
scizor-mega.gif
aegislash-blade.gif
wormadam-trash.gif
forretress.gif
ferrothorn.gif
aggron.gif

Interesting choices this time. No pure Types at all this time around making for a versatile team. In Blaze Black 2 I fought a trainer with a Ferrothorn with Iron Barbs and a Rocky Helmet... Fuck that Pokemon!

Water

Lanturn, Jellicent, Seaking, Azumarill, Primal Kyogre, and Clawitzer

Fire
arcanine.gif
torkoal.gif
mYLdjaK.gif
darmanitan-standard-mode.gif
ninetales.gif
infernape.gif

Arcanine, Torkoal, Talonflame, Darmanitan, Ninetails, Infernape

Disappointed no one picked Volcarona, but there's hope for it when we get to Bug. I do like Torkoal, Talonflame, and Ninetails a lot, so there's that.

Dark

Kangaskhan

I play Battle Spot Singles so this is allowed and a must-have IMO

Thanks for being the first to play properly. I should've known a mega Kangaskhan would get in after I heard how powerful it is. What is PUP btw?

Someone else can go. I just went. There are plenty of other people in this forum.

That's a bad Snorlax moveset :(

Swap Giga Impact for Bodyslam for paralysis chance, or return for consistent STAB and sleep talk for Curse, and you got a thing going though.

e:
Smeargle
Focus Sash
Own Tempo
Spore
Substitute
Shell Smash / Trick Room
Baton Pass

Well I liked the sleep gimmick since it's a sleep pokemon and I was able to beat a lot of trainers in Soul Silver with it.

Also, I wish there is a thread that everyone just posts their dream team. Not competitive team, just a team that looks good.

Giga Slam isn't even a real move LOL

Probably walled by Gengar either way gg

But there's a Lanturn with Hyper Beam! These teams are already made of dreams ;) C'mon folks, let's finish the steel team!

Also, I did a match with GAF's normal team in Ubers on Showdown ;)
Oh cool! :) I never knew about this site. I might check it out.

Let's do STEEL next

Mega Scizor
Nature - technician

Bullet Punch
Swords Dance
Bug Bite
Roost

Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Stance Change
King Shield
Sacred Blade
Shadow Sneak
Flash Canon

I'm only counting Ferrothorn for your post.

That's weird. I could've sworn I typed Impact there.

I've only used one Steel Type before in the series so I'm going with what I know.

Aggron
Ability: Sturdy
Moves: Rock Slide, Protect, Surf, Iron Head

Looked it up and found out that he can learn Surf. A pokemon that would likely sink like a rock can surf? That's ridiculous!
