Whenever I click on "threads created" by permabanned users, I get a database error, is this normal?
What error? Can you post a screen shot?

Database error when searching is rather irritating
No, is up again, i put it off due the server doing the search was rebooting.

Why is this happening?
Starting around last week, only GAF has been giving me trouble lately. I open the site, start browsing threads, then suddenly the page only loads half-way (see image). Everything loads except for the main content.
In order to fix it I either have to refresh a few times, or close the browser and start over. It used to happen every time, then I added GAF to the trusted sites list. Now it does it less often but enough to be annoying. I haven't changed anything on my computer, so I don't know what's up...
Yes, yes...I'm using IE9...but still, every other site is fine.

This isn't exactly an error, more an inconvenience, but it's something that perhaps is fixable.
For a while today our DNS server happened to not recognise GAF - either in .com or .net form. I could connect to it fine by using the IP directly, however... but I couldn't log in. On attempting to do so, I'd get an error about an invalid referrer URL - presumably it was looking for the referrer containing neogaf and finding it missing since it only contained the IP.
Should the DNS be wonky in the future, it'd be nice to still be able to login!

You can't log by IP address, the cookie is set for .neogaf.com

For some reason i cannot log in. I see the log in and redirect Screen but then i return to the Start page and am Not logged in.
I also had log in problems With my phone but atm it seems to work

Looks like it is only opera. I can use other browsers (this is IE9) just fine
I was able to log back in by copying my old chrome file because it was set to be already logged in, I still haven't received an e-mail, though. This means I do not have the password of my account, and if I were to log out now, I would have to repeat this process until the password recovery tool is fixed. I updated to a new computer, and yeah.
tiggerkiddo is also having this issue, and hasn't been able to login due to the password reset not working.

My accounts won't stay logged in any more. Any time I navigate away from GAF, whether I've ticked the Remember Me box or not, I have to log in and, in the case of the mobile platforms, fill in my preferences again. Is there anything I can do about it?
We have a problem with your domain email, mail staff@neogaf.com with the desired password and we will set it.
Clear cookies.
I'm having a weird problem in Firefox. Only some avatars are loading (the favicon is constantly giving me the loading symbol when viewing threads), when most aren't. Everything is fine when I browse in Opera, so it doesn't appear to be my connection. I haven't installed any new plug-ins recently either.
edit: Nevermind. It seems I forgot to reboot after a Firefox update, and that borked things. All back to normal now.

I just noticed a new one.
When using mobile GAF on ICS, you can't post if you start your post with a quoted image. Clicking "post" just takes you back to the thread.
It's not a huge issue, you can just start the post with a full stop or something, just thought I'd throw it out there!

Sooo. I still can't log into neogaf.net. No problem logging into neogaf.com connected to the same web browser. I've deleted all the cookies many times and still won't let me get into .net.
Is this on the agenda to be fixed? What's weird at my work is that when connected through one wifi network (the network I have to be on to do all my work), neogaf.com is blocked, while the other company network does not have neogaf.com blocked (but I can't simultaneously work when connected). Any ideas?

The problem is mobile with the cookies, i will fix it when i have time.
Yeah as search dont overload the servers, is reduced to 30.
And take note, anyway full posts updated every 10 min.

When I use Mobile neogaf on my Playstation Vita, sometimes the browser does not load the whole Overview when I go to "gaming" or "Off-topic", the bottom just disappears ( the part with Next page, prev. page etc.) .. so I can´t go to next page or anything. Most of the time I have to close the browser and then start it again, then I can see the bottom of the overview again..

!When people upload a transparent PNG (Probably gif as well) avatar to NeoGAF that is bigger than 100x120, the php script/program resizes the image in proportion fine but adds a white background to the avatar.
Its just a small quirk with the system, I'm unsure how easy it would be to fix, and it's not a massive problem, just thought you should know =] I've noticed a few people in the avatar request thread have this problem, simply resizing the original images to meet the size requirement works fine, its only a problem with the auto resizing for larger images done by the server.

Hey so I got a question. It's not really about the platform but since I couldn't find any general thread about the forum/suggestions I'll post it here.
Is there a specific reason why there's no Spoiler tag button in the editor? We have them for links, images, quotes but nothing for spoilers. When you're active in a game's OT it can get annoying to always have to type them manually in every post.
Anyway, just a little suggestion to make the forum even better!

Anyone else on iOS 6 having some issues with mobile GAF? Go to last unread seems to not be working exactly right. I think it is going a few posts above the last unread.
there are scripts that can do that, but yeah it should probably integrated. And change the email link into a hide script, which is what it's only used for anyways.
