Gaf, post an image of the first game you remember playing

This is also up there for me, and may have made a lasting impact on the rest of my life:

The first game I ever remember playing I think was MG

From the vague memory I recall something that looked very similar in graphics and setting. If not this then it'll be Jurassic Park on NES. I remember renting it and remember crystal clear the menu screen and triceratops demo screen.

Hugo's House of Horrors in Year 1/2, I think (1994/5). I would've been 6 or 7. My parents at the time had an ancient DOS-based PC, which had a hangman game. I spent so much time playing it that I could often correctly guess the word based on the amount of letters alone, and I also remember playing the Alex Kidd game that's built into Sega's Master System. I can't be sure which of the three played first, but I'm leaning towards Hugo.

One of the best games ever made!

Holy shit! Did it really take six pages for someone to post Contra?

Anyway, this was also my first game, along with Super Mario Brothers. I can't really remember which I played first, but Contra was my favourite. I actually finished it once or twice, back when I was five, which makes 5-year-old me more of a badass than current 24-year-old me.

I'm 35.

Some awesome games in there. It's kind of fun seeing people posting games released years before they were born. My father was a videogame enthusiast so I mostly played stuff that was current; even, in some cases, imported before release in my country.

Fuck, I'm Spanish and I didn't even know this existed.

That would be difficult, considering it was so long ago. But it would most likely be this.

Circus Atari for the 2600. My dad had an Atari 2600 he bought for my older brother and sister before I was born. Which was the only game system in the house until I get an NES for my 4th or 5th birthday.

It had about 6 or 7 games on it. Which I played the heck out of. I don't who which was first, but since I remember this the best, it was probably this one.

Also, considering how old I was when I got the NES, I was about 3-5 years old at most when I played this game the most. Which was pretty young. And I typically had my dad watching me play. To say I grew up on video games is an understatement. I most likely played my first video game at 3 years of age.

Can't, I remember all sorts of games but with no clear order as to which was first :/

Awful Atari stuff, arcades like Bubble Bobble and Blood Bros, Master System stuff, none of that mine.

The first I owned was probably some crappy Game Boy knock off with just one built in game or whatever.

Confusing yet good times with this game.
Not my first video game. But definitely my first RPG.

Had a huge impact on me as a child. I had dreams about this world for weeks. And there was just something about this game which stuck with me. I actually started reading Fantasy novels because of this game.

The first video game I ever played was Sega's "My Hero" back when my Father took me to an arcade so many years ago.

Thing is I never knew the game has no ending it just loops after the 3 stages in it, so after the 3rd stage you could say you beat the game.

There we a few earlier that I just can't remember, but this one I remember vividly. Me, my brother and my cousins would play this all the time.

We often died after reaching this boss, as we didn't know the konami code =(

I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to find out the name of this Atari 2600 game that I know was my very first game I played but I can't remember the name of. I remember pretty clearly what you do and what it looked like, but I couldn't find it. Don't we have a thread for stuff like that?

Anway...the 2nd game I ever remember playing, Jungle Hunt:

Definitely not my first video game. But definitely a major childhood memory of mine.

This game and this franchise was one of my first childhood favourites. I don't know why it feels like nobody has heard of the Adventures of Lolo games today. But they were seriously, seriously great.

I wish that Nintendo would bring this back. I don't care if it is a simple classic remake for handhelds or a re-invisioned revamp and reboot of the franchise with different mechanics. Just for old times sake, I want a new one. I don't care what, I just want more Lolo, Lala, puzzles, and fun.

This game franchise was a huge, huge part of my childhood NES days.

Can't remember which of these I played first but they all came with my Genesis when I was 3 lol. I also had Batman Returns, Aladdin, and something else but these 3 were first.
