Welcome, everyone, to the ANNUAL GAF SECRET SANTA!

Here are the brief rules. If you can't comply with these, don't sign up.

* ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO PARTICIPATE. I'd love for the mods to ban your ass forever if you flake off on sending a gift. If you have to back out for some substantially important reason PLEASE let me know well before Christmas.
* There's no need to blow a whole bunch of money on your gift (unless you really want to). $25-$30 USD excluding shipping is the accepted standard, if you are worried about what you should spend.
* Don't send anything dangerous that could get you or the recipient in trouble with the law (hazardous or illicit materials, e.g. alcohol, drugs). That should be obvious.
* Try to wrap the gift up. What's the fun in getting a gift if you can't unwrap it? If you're buying online, places like Amazon have a gift wrap option that is pretty cheap.
* Please try to send the package so it will arrive on or before Christmas. There will be a grace period for late packages, since it's a very busy mail time.

Okay! If you've read all of that and decided you still want to participate, here's what you need to do:

1. PM (Private Message) me with your shipping address. Include your real, full name, otherwise people can run into problems at the post office. NO P.O. boxes unless they can accept packages.

2. Post in this thread with the following info:
a) Where do you live?
b) Will you ship internationally? (flexibility on this is appreciated, we have a lot of international members)
c) Anything in particular that you want? (include game systems, clothes size, and any other relevant info)

-> Make sure you do BOTH steps 1 and 2 before proceeding! If you do not do BOTH steps you will not be registered! <-

3. The cut-off date is November 5th. On the 6th I'll send you your recipient's user name and shipping address.

4. Now that you know who you're buying for, get shopping! Try to send out your gift with plenty of time for it to get there on or before Christmas Day.


Other things:

- If you want, you can include your name/username on the gift to your recipient. I will eventually post a list of who was matched up with who, so if you want to remain anonymous until then, that's okay too.
- Keep the gifts age-appropriate, no sending porn to minors.
- Keep in mind that international shipping can sometimes be costly depending on how much the package weighs. If you're short on cash this holiday season, keep your international packages light.
- You can usually calculate shipping depending on weight by either calling your local post office and asking, or using a shipping calculator on your country's postal service website.

I own an Xbox 360 and a PC. I do not own a Bluray player. I like RPGs, racing games and shooters. I obsessively played Diablo II for a long time back in the day.
I am 6' 3" and wear a Medium or Large T-Shirt.
I am an automotive enthusiast and have an interest in all cars. However I am particularly fond of Ford trucks because I grew up working on them and I drive a 2011 F150. I grew up on a farm in the country and I'm kind of a redneck.
I'm a Software Engineer and am interested in generally all things relating to technology.
I love craft beers and I am just beginning to dabble in the hobby of making my own.

Well I am always open to what Gaf has to offer, last year I got a PBF Compendium which was an awesome gift.

If you want me to make things easy then . . . I have a 3DS (with OoT and Rabbids, atm), and plan to pick up a PS3 at some point. That's about all the gaming I do.
I'm 5'-10" and wear a Medium, and play a shit ton of golf.
I'm a structural engineer, so science/nerdy gifts or office toys are cool, too.
But really, creativity is what I appreciate (really, especially when it comes to Secret Santas, it's the thought that counts). I'm not picky.

For video games, I have 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, DS, PS2. I prefer physical copies unless they're downloadable only games, of course. I am HUGE into board games but this category is hard for me; anything I want I just go out and buy myself. You'll most often find me posting in the board gaming thread in the OT, though. It would have to be something I haven't heard of. I am a size L shirt. I am allergic to peanuts and shellfish if you're thinking candy or food.

I like Doctor Who, Harry Potter (have all the books), anime (nothing in particular, just the majors like Cowboy Bebop), Mass Effect (have all the games and books), Mega Man, Gears of War (have the board and video games, don't have the books though).

I also have an eye on 30Rock Season5. I also love books. I am reading a lot of modern classics like Steinbeck, Faulkner, Cheever and John O'Hara. I also like biographies and other non-fiction stuff. If it is a nice or rare edition I am happy to double dip. If you're thinking about clothes, something iconic from your corner of the world would be great. I am a size M. I also like cool tech stuff and toys. I also like comics if they have some level of sophistication and artistry.

But really, I think that the coolest thing to get would just be something random, fun, or downright cheesy from your part of the country (or world) that there's no way that I could get where I live. I have an absurd-ass sense of humor, so feel free to surprise me with that. Cool tools are good, too

I've always shipped internationally and have never gotten a non-USA SS (I'm in Canada)

Not that I'm really really complaining, it just sucked to get something from New Jersey the year I shipped to Australia.

Edited: I'm definitely getting a PS3 for myself (asked for Best Buy gift certificates from my rents) after Christmas so a game for that is good. I don't really wear tshirts but I do like hoodies and tank tops (chest: 36", waist: 27" hips: 40" - american apparel items do not fit me because they're made for boxy girls ). I like reading about science/stats/sex related topics (e.g., simplexity, bonk, stiff, death by black hole, drunkards walk). Not huge into candy or chocolate. I go to the gym now (yay neogaf fitocracy) and would like to start running :/ but lack the equipment - i.e., clothes (Canadian winters!).
