Unless you can show me with proof that I screwed this list up, this is the black list for this year. I'm so sorry for those who got shafted.

Lasts for one year. You will be allowed to participate in 2014 if you are black listed for 2013.

As a Secret Santa
In order to prevent black listing, PM myself or echoshifting details regarding your shipment. If you have proof that you shipped, we can only assume that your TT not receiving their gift is the fault of the shipping provider and NOT you. A+

As a Tiny Tim
You are required to post confirmation regarding gift receipt. Pictures are a plus. If, however, there are some extreme circumstances that prevent you from posting (banning/post count/etc?), you can PM myself or echoshifting. Or, if banned, you can have a friend PM one of us.

Black List Details and Examples

1. SS provides shipping details, TT receives gift and posts pictures and comments in the thread. Good on SS and TT. No harm, no foul! GAF Secret Santa 2013, here we come!

2. SS sends gift but does not have any shipping details, TT never receives gift and PM's myself or echoshifting/posts in thread. Unless the SS can show shipping confirmation, they will be black listed for 2013. Super Secret Santa Fund will be used to try and send a gift to TT.

3. SS sends gift with shipping details, TT receives but never confirms receipt. In this case, the TT will be placed on the Black List for 2013. While they may have sent a gift and done everything else right, not confirming receipt of gift breaks a major rule. No excuses.

4. SS sends gift with shipping details, TT never receives gift. This is a no harm, no foul case. The TT will be provided for via the Super Secret Santa Fund and both will be welcome to participate in 2013.

C) Let's see... I've been gaming less as the years go by, but still dig anything MGS, KH, Final Fantasy (Preferably 1-10 is where I gravitate most) & Nintendo anything.

Manga tastes have also chilled a bit, but FMA & Bakuman are my go-to ones.

Probably now, I'm really into my movies & anything MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) but am getting back into comics. I also enjoy Lego & figures (see geek-gaf thread in OT). Clothing... T-shirts are Medium or Large, Long-sleeved ones are Medium.

Pretty much surprise me, especially if it's handmade or native to your area (city/state/country)

I own a Wii, PS3, 3DS, PSVita, iPhone & iPad.

Big ups to: Nicoga3000, DistantMantra & everyone else from the 2011 SS Thread.
 
Did this a couple years ago. Probably going to be doing it this year. It worked out well in the past. I'll post later to confirm.
 
I have always enjoyed GAF's Secret Santa.

C) I really don't game much anymore. I stopped buying physical media as I've gone all digital. My only real "fun vice" are Legos and home improvement stuff.
I'll ponder this some more and edit this post later.

I was somewhat vague (mainly because I have a decent amount of disposable income and just tend to buy myself whatever I want, so I have no idea what to ask for), so for whoever is my Santa, feel free to PM questions to me through the guys running this. Also, I'm sure I'll love whatever you send me. If in doubt, just send me something you love (and maybe tell me a little about why it's something you really enjoyed). I'll probably dig it.

Also, here's my GoodReads page. List of all of the books I've read over the last two years. Here is my Last.FM for music.

I'm glad - I was hoping this idea wasn't met with sour notes. I've never been screwed myself, but I can imagine it really does suck. :(

Either or. The form keeps track of when you signed up. Once deadline has hit, I'll sift through the participants and clean them up. But if you'd rather not retune everything (which I completely understand!), PM me and I'll adjust it for you manually!

I don't know if it's smart to do it through a Google Doc. I mean, someone could fill out a fake address for someone else's username and it'll cause problems. lol The past system of using private messages was more secure.

This is true. If the consensus is to remove the form and use the PM method instead, we can move to that.
 
Form finished. Great idea with the fund - I'm still riled up from being shafted in the last candy swap. I'm in.
 
I'll join again this year, will be my third time doing it. I missed last year after I moved country, now that I am more settled it should be possible for me. I guess with the form I don't need to fill out details here, but since others have I figure I might as well.

A) Shanghai, China
B) Will of course ship internationally
C) I always ask for the same kind of gift - I want something that the SS would buy for themselves. Show me what you are passionate about, or something unique to your local area. Simple Example would be to send me a copy of your favourite game (I'm PC only btw). Or a copy of your favourite book or film. If you have a hobby, seed me something related to that, etc. etc.

Great op by the way! One thing, you should add that people should post pics and stuff, that is actually the fun part. I know it should be obvious but every year there are people that don't return after they've received their gifts.

As for wishes: You don't have to be spot on, but I think some ideas can be very helpful. I own a Wii and a 3DS both PAL and w/o home brew. I read a lot - mostly classics and gothic from Henry James to du Maurier - and I love pretty vintage books. I don't mind if they aren't in perfect condition if they have a proper binding and look good on my shelf :P I'd even double dip, no prob. I understand English and German. I also love any kind of coffee table book with lots of pictures and stuff. I also like movies and TV shows of all kinds. I have a wish list at amazon.com just because of GAF ss, I might update that one as well.

I'll be adding the requirements on posting your pictures as soon as a deadline is determined. I'm thinking Feb 1, but that's not set in stone.

Regarding a blacklist, unless someone else has kept track, sadly, there isn't one I'm aware of. It one DOES exist, I'll gladly put it into effect.

No, Form is still required. He just hid it so that people who don't have GAF accounts can't try and participate or scam the database. To see the address to fill the form, you have to Quote the OP, which a person without an account cannot do

It's all GAF! There are a lot of folks who opt for International shipping, so it gives everyone options. Those who don't choose to participate in international will simply be paired accordingly!

And I hope the form is working well for everyone. I know it's not the same process as before, but I'm hoping it will make our lives easier for the matchup process. :)

Also, I'm going to add a note to the OP regarding changes to your form entry (if it necessary). Thanks all!

for my santa: anything Zelda is always nice, as is random cooking stuff. Or a nintendo eshop or an itunes card would be welcome, too, if you're struggling! But really, whatever you think is cool, I probably will, too

I'm filling out the form, but I not sure how much detail I should go into on the Wish List. I feel like I could go on and on about all the little things I'm interested in. Not sure where to cut it off lol

Feel free to put anything and everything. I mean, within reason...But seriously, putting things on there will at least give you Secret Santa ideas and hints as to things you might like!

Whoever I am assigned to be Santa for, I'll do the best I can. I'm what you might call a "poor person" lol, but I won't be cheap and try to pick the best gift I can for whoever I get.
 
I think I submitted the form but my iPad is being weird
I don't want to double up on submissions.

A.) I'm in the US.
B.) I'd prefer to ship in-country, but can do out of country.
C.) I like to collect Nintendo stuff. Odd pieces, whatever, doesn't need to be games that's for sure. I wear a large in shirts. Also, just in case someone looks at my post history for ideas, don't grab any 3ds games, as me and my daughters XL was stolen or lost, so 3ds games would go to waste sadly.

Edit: I'll go ahead and list some other stuff Id be interested in since I only said one thing before.

I like art, computers (Im a CS student), humor, odd things, old android tmobile phone? (my s3 was stolen along with 3ds xl), Diablo 3 gift card because I need better gear! Also a sweet messenger bag of some sort would be cool, programming books (Would like hlsl stuff, directx, xna)
 
Filling out the submission form now. I feel like I'm writing a weird demanding essay for the suggestions but I guess it's better to be overly broad and general to provide a wide range and create the biggest surprise during the holiday unwrapping. :lol

EDIT: Finished filling it out. Hopefully I haven't made any mistakes with the address or submission.
 
Filled out the form, first time doing this on Gaf. Put some ideas on it, but to whoever gets me I don't really care what you send, so send whatever you think is cool/interesting or whatever.
