Game Grumps (aka Egoraptor plays some games)

"I don't even want to tip you!"

Oh boy, Jon has made himself quite a few enemies on GAF now.

Also, the X-Files theme ain't scary you bunch of babbies.

What do you know, you gumblegam.

Shut up you dumb

it's scaiwy

Also, gaming NEEDS a Platinum made Strider reboot. This playthrough is reminding how PERFECT they would be for it. Maybe after a Platinum made Shinobi game.

Just let Platinum make everything.

now that they mention it, that snapping thing is really weird
It's because the game seems to use a really primitive way of adjusting the character's position. All it seems to do is use a SINGLE contact point on their feet and snap the character's angle to whatever the surface is, which is why you end up with ridiculous stuff like this. It's just what a programmer on his first time on 3D would likely make.

The newer games in comparison have contact points for each foot and even adjust their legs properly. (Too properly sometimes)

Yeah, and I don't think I've noticed it before, having not actually played 06. Nice insight there.

Edit: Oh actually I guess I did notice it, now that you've shown it's the same behaviour that leads to the oscillating between two positions when near a sharp angle or drop. :P

I never made the connection between the slightly elevated surface problem and the snapping. Makes sense though.

I have a good feeling about this campaign, if only because they'll have to pay attention to Silver's totally different gameplay.
Maybe this time they won't miss the roundhouse kick :P

Ending was golden!

Hahaha so awesome. This episode was great, much better than the last episode. Overall the last few days have been pretty solid. Just playing the game and fast forwarding as necessary > Jon killing himself every time he dies once.

Probably gonna pull out my Castlevania cart once spring break hits.

I haven't watched Game Grumps since around the time they started the Shadow campaign and Portal 2. I don't know... it's just boring to me. They lost Super Metroid which saddens me.

Last few episodes have been pretty good. Game Grumps is great when they are actually focusing on the game and having fun instead of just going through the motions.

God, fuckin terrible ass music. Surprised Dishwalla didn't get name-dropped. It's funny seeing the youtube comments on those songs where youngsters say they hate today's music and like this old stuff.

Sonic 06 Part 47

Oh man the Nine Days riffing, haha

It's funny of Jon to namedrop Bowling For Soup considering they actually made the theme song for Sonic Unleashed. At least the frontman did, anyway. I'd love it if he were to find it out.

Also I'm starting to notice a pattern with Game Grumps videos. ~50 dislikes when it's an episode they talk about the game, usually an all around funny and good episode. ~100+ dislikes when they don't talk about the game for the most of the part. ~300+ dislikes when they fuck something (usually simple) up. ~500+ dislikes when they do something crazy to the point of being divisive as hell.

They brought up Overdrift in one of these Sonic videos.

It always amazes me that it doesn't have more views.

Lol, I'm just like arin. I own LotR trilogy (both regular and extended), only seen pieces of 1. Own the Aliens anthology, only seen the first 1. Own both Terminators, never watched either. Only seen Crystal Skull in the Indian Jones series, though I don't own them.

Holy shit, that was good. I continue to have a good feeling about Silver's story

Edit:
"You know why these campaigns aren't taking as long? It's because they don't have Soleanna."
*Soleanna loading screen*

"Wait, turn around for a second and check out Silver. Just real quick."

Well, there it is confirmed. Jon literally wasn't looking at the screen. Talking about marriage and staring at the wall always takes precedence over paying attention to what they're playing, apparently.

No wonder I've been skipping through their videos lately.

He probably just turned to Arin while he speaking since it was the end of the level. Don't really need to pay attention to a stats screen.

You don't need to look at the screen to talk about moth men or The X-Files either. I have my suspicions about the non-playing Grump actually watching the TV half the time at this point in the Sonic '06 videos.

Which is a shame since I'm enjoying the Strider and Castlevania videos where they're consistently watching the game.

I don't see the point in continuing '06 if they're not riffing on the absurdity and stupidity of the cutscenes and glitches.

70% of Game grumps is a podcast with video of an unrelated game playing at the same time.

Podcasts are always trying and failing to monetize. I think game grumps cracked the code though.

There was plenty of riffing on this episode. You're literally bitching about something that lasted like 3 seconds that wasn't even detrimental to the video as a whole.
