Watch the pokecapn let's play instead. It's much more entertaining. They actually talk about and make fun of the game and don't waste tons of time failing due to pure incompetence/lack of paying attention. Game Grumps spent more than one episode running around a hub not knowing where to go because they decided to go the opposite way the game told them to go.
Oh it's bad, but it's not as bad as you should think. Jon and Arin simply don't pay any attention while they're playing, they ignore all on screen directions, and half the time probably aren't even looking at the screen. There are very few instances where you can say someone is playing a game wrong, but they were playing it wrong.

The game is terrible, but they're bad on top of that. Let's plays are supposed to be about the games, but a lot of the time with Game Grumps it's like watching someone play a bad game ineptly while listening to a completely unrelated podcast. They don't even react to some legitimately bad things, then spend half an hour lost and complaining because they couldn't read or repeat entire sections because they keep forgetting they can manual save.
I like those episodes. They talk about random and entertaining things.

If I were actually in the same room as them and were waiting for them to finish the game so we could play something else, then I'd probably get annoyed. As it is though... I just can't do anything but laugh when they dick around/screw up. If this show were supposed to be about the games instead of the grumps, then they'd probably shut up and discuss the games. Or people would just flock to other channels, or play the games themselves.
It's definitely showcasing Jon and Arin's personalities, whether that's your thing aside. And even then, the show doesn't have to be anything in particular. If people like it, then it'll stay the same.

I like how Jon reads the hint to go to the store, but ignores it. Not that I think there are any necessary upgrades for Silver.

They miss that, too, though. And then die. They ignored the loading screen and NPCs telling them to "head for the jungle" for 1 and a half episodes.

I think Jon and Arin both just have a really shitty sense of direction. Like, if you're driving around someplace with them, don't make them the navigator. The car will just drive around in circles.
Exactly. I actually almost never mind when they're screwing up or terrible because it's almost always amusing.

I've completely stopped watching other than checking in to see how close they are to Silver's desert level and the final chapter. Which they'll probably not comment on and instead talk about dinosaurs/space travel/fashion or perhaps fellate AVGN some more.
I'm pretty much done. Barry's the only one that puts in any effort or care.

I have to agree In more interested in the grumps themselves over them playing the games the right way. Though obviously that's just personal preference.
Also I absolutely love some of the remixs out there like pause balls and Sophia Loren.

I've really been enjoying the castlevania/older games lately. Ultimate muscle was a boring game so it sucked but wasn't their fault. I'm so past done with sonic though, I wish they would play something else. Feels like I'm back to one episode a day because I can't watch the sonic ones anymore.
