Game Informer cover coming today, 20 pages long

Well, that's debatable. Microsoft have said "Halo on Xbox One" is definitely coming 2014. If that's some cheap way of selling a delay by replacing it with Halo 2, then that is one damn sucky move.

I guess you weren't here for the ntkrnl Wednesday banazaa last week? If all that holds true, H2A will be this year with a Halo 5 beta included if you buy it with Halo 5 coming next year. Also, that was supposed to be revealed at the end of February/early March which would lineup with April's cover story.

With how early the Black Flag announcements came last year, I wouldn't be surprised if your deductions in the OP were correct, Nirolak.

Oh no, I was. I just don't buy all of it, for the reasons I outlined above. But what I'm saying is that if it is true, and Microsoft have basically been misleading us all this time with this "your Halo experience will begin on Xbox One in 2014 for sure" (i.e. referring to H2A instead of H5), then that is a serious dick move on their part.

Dont its going to be on the cover, specially since will be a remastering of the game..

A remastering of Halo 2 two generations later is VERY deserving of a cover if it intends to bring back multi like the rumor says.

It would be closer to a remake than a remaster like Halo CEA. CEA was well done, but there is much more opportunity for change with Halo 2A.

20 pages seems like a lot. Have GI dedicated this much to a single game before? I wonder if it could be multiple game blowout? Like a cover story on Xbones 2014 lineup or something z

It's relatively rare, but not unheard of.

I think they put in more screenshots than they used to since they added digital.

megaton inbound

GameInformer hypes up everything despite none of it being worth hyping up. The one time something isn't said to make people orgasm so hard they die, it has to be something good.

Surprised nobody has said what everyone's thinking yet...

I'm the one who asked Andy, actually. Thought about making a thread (I like these GI guess threads), but he didn't get terribly specific, so I left it alone.

One idea that was floated to me was that it might be Murdered on PS4/XBO, but really it could be anything AAA.

GTA V's feature was a bit of a behemoth, wasn't it?

Yes, it was 18 pages long. IV's cover story was 20. So, if they're dedicating that many pages to it then chances are that it's a very popular and established franchise like Nirolak suggested.

That actually seems pretty likely given their coy responses lately.

I don't think that game warrants a 20 page blowout.

The game looks fun and all that, but it is a B tier game.

Didn't they have a cover feature for The Order a few months ago?

My guess would be Watch Dogs, Infamous, Titanfall or Destiny. Assuming none of them have been cover games recently.

Well there was a Second Son cover from last year but it's definitely not recent

Though I'm not sure the same game has gotten on a cover of GI twice before

Isn't this just 20 pages of the Top 50 games of 2013, or was that last month? Checking the front page on zinio now...

I would say with it being 20 pages that it would be Halo 5, but with it potentially being delayed...I'm going with Quantum Break or Titan Fall. If it's Quantum Break it'll be a whole lot of fluff, Titan Fall will be a blow out with tons of information. My hope is Halo 5, but if it's Halo 2...man 20 pages? That could mean so many crazy things about it..
