Game Music track that got you PUMPED during an action sequence!!!

Crysis is full of the kind of ultra-bombastic and super-dramatic military music you know when it kicks in that shit is going down. Rolling down a huge valley with a dozen tanks blasting through KPA armor and defense lines with this stuff blaring in the background makes you feel invincible.

+1 for Crysis, the beginning of the Tank level has to be one of the most epic openers to a level ever.

Also HL2 had some pretty good action music:

Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter- Sealed. This song plays during the very final boss of the game. Its an RPG, but this particular battle is an odd little action scene. Knowing you might die at any second from your D-counter and seeing this huge dragon that doesn't want you to ever leave, hearing this track gives you a great sense of panic. Probably my favorite track ever by Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Probably more obscure like what the OP wanted than the 2 Metal Gear tracks I posted a few posts back.

This, a thousand times this. It's not even an action sequence, but it's the closest thing in these games. I have yet to find anything more satisfying in a video game than to expose a suspect's lies and this song blasts as you see the suspect struggle.

Xenoblade - Those who Bear their Name

It's the music that plays when you fight the optional "unique" monsters who all have names and titles and are usually much stronger than the enemies around. What got me was how up until the first time you fight one the game's score is mostly mellow and entirely orchestral, even the normal battle music. Then you get spotted by a big bad monster, the guitar kicks in and you can't help but say, "Whoa, kickass!"

Pretty much any upbeat track from Half-Life 2. That Nova Prospekt beach assault, man...in hindsight it's so much less ambitious than what we've seen can be done this gen but the music keeps it up there.

Was going to post this. Possibly the most blood pumping track from a game ever. This - mixed with the OBJECTION! finger pointing - is the pretty much the most badassery I've ever felt in a video game. This music track is godly.

I still remember getting my highest ever score by far in Gorf for the Vic-20 while listening to Michael Jackson's Thriller back in the mid 80's :p

I don't know if turn-based games can even have "action scenes", but there are a few really awesome tracks that I love. Climactic boss battles are kinda actiony, right?

Pretty much every battle theme in The Last Remnant. Sword Sparks and The Gates of Hell are my favorites.

The Battle for Everyone's Souls in Persona 3 FES.

Eternity in Blue Dragon

And some from shooters:

Howl! Yell!, the final boss theme in Mushihime-sama Futari

No Remorse in Ketsui

Seseri's theme in Espgaluda 2 Black Label. It takes a minute to kick in, but it gets pretty awesome.

Was going to post that, but figured it wouldnt count for action.

Nice on Shattered Solider mentions. The fight against Yokozuna Jr. had a nice building theme to it.

Yeah, this thread became overwhelming REALLY fast, lol. I've listened to almost everything on the first page (and that took a while!) and I'm really feeling some of them. I think its one of those things where great music isn't enough. If you haven't played the games in question (which many of these I haven't), can I still visualize getting pumped for the action in the game?

That's the whole reason why I requested ACTION sequences, because these are music pieces that made the in game sequences even more visceral and empowering.

For instance, imagine getting a sweeping camera view of a huge battle and then, on your trustworthy steed you proceed to ride headfirst into this battle knocking over trolls and anything else in your way, desperately trying to make it through and eventually engaging in battle with hordes of these enemies with fellow knights. The music made the moment in this sequence from Kameo.

Some standouts here for sure. Maybe it'll even get us playing some games we'd normally pass on ...

I saw Bayonetta mentioned a few times, but no Climactic Battle yet? The individual boss themes were all great, but whenever this theme came on you were always doing the most ridiculously awesome shit, like
fighting Fortitudo on a spinning hunk of rock while a volcano explodes below you, or destroying each part of Temperantia after you've ripped his arms off.
It's a pretty short loop but the theme definitely gets me "pumped". :D

Halo 3. At one point in the game I was playing with some friends. We were all in a warthog and the theme song came on as we were driving towards a bunch of enemies. Got me so pumped of, it was awesome.

duel of top, thunderforce v's remix of thunderforce iv's intro music -- it plays during your fight with the tfiv ship, which has been taken over by aliens or something. and it fucking rocks. VIDEOGAME SYNTH METAL 4 EVER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qIAkbHCXOQ&fmt=18

(actually just wanted to post the tfiv intro song, but it doesn't play during an action sequence)

The Ultra Accelerator from Breakdown

Yeah, another obscure entry, but those that played know EXACTLY what moment this was and it is one of the biggest STAND UP AND CHEER moments in the history of gaming. I wish I could find a video of it, but it still wouldn't do it justice. Let's just say its a moment you've been waiting for in the game, desperately need and when it delivers, your previously intimidating foes prepare for the inevitable.
Just wanted to back you up on that one. Breakdown was a little shaky at points but it had plenty of great moments. And yes, I knew exactly what which song that was going to be when I saw a Breakdown video listed even before reading the description. I could even hum the song too from memory despite not having played the game since it launched. Most of the music in Breakdown was forgettable but this one song is etched into my memory!

Even if you found a video of the event I don't think you could do it justice...
