Gameboy Advance emulator sneaks into the iOS app store

Meanwhile, lots of properly named, fully functional GBA Emulators on the Play Store.

Yeah , first thing I thought. First day I got a tablet I downloaded a free app which includes emulators for 5+ systems from Google Play. Surprised it's a problem in the App Store.. Why does Apple moderate this and why doesn't Google?

The emulator on this is really bad, don't bother. From what I hear, very few games work and those that do, run like 3-legged-dog.

Best thing I've found for the thing is playing Fire Emblem on the go, even then it can be frustrating due to the d-pad. Seriously every d-pad on any phone touch screen needs to tilt to indicate the direction you're moving.

Oh, do the Android-based emulators have physical controls?
Most likely? I know you can play with bluetooth enabled controllers on iOS, like the Wiimote. I haven't really tried.

They have horrible framerate drops from the ones I've played on iOS, yet Android's were pretty fine.

A GBA for 1.99?
1. You need to backup your GBA BIOS for this to work.
2. You need to backup the games you want to play for this to work.

So no, it's not a GBA for $2. You need a flashcart to dump games / BIOS, and you need a GBA to run the flashcart on.

how is it even possible that something like this got past the apple checks?
the code for the emu has to be anything but just a few lines.
i dont know how you could not see the emulator in the app code??

My question is how people found out it had an emulator. It's iOS, I imagine there's tonnes of releases everyday, and a baby name generator doesn't seem like a hot seller.
