GameFAQs gets a massive redesign

Good to know. I didn't like the redesign at first but its growing on me. Cloudy Blue looks really good. Even though I stopped using the boards I occasionally go to Gamefaqs for guides since not every game has a wikia or a decent one.
 
That doesn't look half bad. They need to keep the design simple and if they changed the layout too much you'd get people raging cause it'd be slightly less convenient to navigate. Bearing that in mind it's about as large an improvement as they could've gotten with such a design.
 
i choose red on dark as a color because of some reason the site appears WERY WHITE to me

Something like it's was hard to navigate properly.
 
Man, I haven't visited gamefaqs in years. Many years.
Not sure whether this speaks about me as a gamer or about modern games.

Nah I very rarely go on Gamefaq unless I actually need to use the walk-through, I just like seeing the result of the polls and trying to get an understanding of what makes people tick.
 
I like that I can access (some) retro consoles from the homepage without having to drill down into other pages. Other than that it's not really very different as far as I can see.

Bring back GameFAX.

I actually used to visit that board a lot before I stopped visiting gamefaqs. I actually discovered GAF due to being on a "secret" board at the time too.

they don't even do anything for april fools anymore. it's really sad because they used to at least put some effort into it.
 
The default colour scheme could be better but I'll live with it.

What really surprises me is that the PS2 & Wii boards have been taken down from the front page while the PSP's is still up.
 
I have no qualms with the changes.

And with the option to change the colors so I can make it dark, I find it extremely desirable. I like to have my forums dark as they're easy on the eyes.
 
Man people are ridiculous.

It looks fine.

Edit: You can choose colors? Alright it just went from just fine to great. Good work designers.

Since the advent of youtube videos explaining tough parts of games and wikis for more in-depth games, I haven't visited GameFAQs in aaages. I have to admit it was pretty useful way back when though.
 
The layout is pretty close to how it was before. The new fonts look a bit strange, but I don't visit the site regularly so I can't complain.
 
I frequent here and GameFaqs and I love the new redesign. I used GameFaqs to get quick help for any games I'm playing or discuss certain things about games I'm playing. I use NeoGAF to read and respond to the news information mostly.
 
I like it.

Dislike all the negative space on the left and right sides of the screen. I know it's for ads but with adblock it's just all white to me.
 
I left that site around the time CjayC left. I like Evilore's leadership here better. For one, he would never leave his site to someone else so he could pursue another venture.

Yeah, that's fine. The only parts I use are functionally identical to how they ever were, so whatever.
 
Like almost all site redesigns, my knee jerk reaction was to hate it. I think I'm growing to like this one though. Still retains the simplicity I liked about the site, but feels a little smoother. It's just a weird change. Everything feels bigger. Or something. I dunno.
 
OMFG so awful I think I'm gonna throw up did they pay people to do this? lol [redesigned site] can say goodbye to my patronage. you know who isn't stupid enough to visit such an ugly site? this guy. Presentation is 99% of the battle and they just lost.


JK it looks basically the same and all the faqs are still there. great success!

They're both CBS owned now so it's the same design team who worked on both sites.
