Gamer - A mini game in Nintendo's latest Wii U release, Game and Wario. It utilizes both the gamepad and the TV simultaneously. Basically, it's about a young kid staying up late to play videogames in bed without getting caught by his watchful mother. You do the primary playing on the gamepad, which is a version of Wario Ware. On the TV, it shows your room, and you must constantly keep an eye on it, for your mother could pop up at any moment. You get four or so lives in the actual Wario game, but if mom catches you playing, it's an automatic game over. You avoid being caught by pulling the ZL and ZR buttons to cover yourself up and pretend to sleep until she goes away. Do that too many times though and you will fall asleep, losing the game you are playing. It creates a great feeling, and is surprisingly creepy to boot. Check out this video to get an idea if I haven't painted the picture correctly. It really is a great utilization of the Gamepad, and has such a nice theme to tie it together.

Honestly, I feel this game is more than strong enough to stand on it's own as an eShop title! Just playing in his room is awesome on it's own, but they could open up more locations in a stand alone release. For instance, he could be in school(with a different set of games), playing below his desk as his instructor teaches the class. Perhaps she calls you to answer a question or just walks by you, forcing you to put it away or get caught and catch an instant game over. I haven't played anything past this in Game and Wario, and everything I played before this one was pretty boring. I'm only on the second stage in Gamer(noticeably harder than the first one), but I want this expanded on. To those that have actually played it, do you feel it has a strong enough base to do so? To those that are watching the youtube clip or read about it, how do you feel it would work out?
Also, this artwork creeps me out as much as the stalking mother does.
