This isn't surprising for a major single player title. Until we ether get DLC or an expansion, there isn't much a reason to return once completed unless you are trophy hunting.
It's still a fairly newsworthy title though, as it's become something of a showcase title for the system. People still talk about its story, art, gifs, etc.
The Last Guardian (just a few people cared about this game lol)
Horizon Zero Dawn (Zelda put this game in the shadows forever)
Halo Wars 2
I always advocate this, but if you want to get amuch better pulse than the extremely niche GaF, use Google Trends.
The first game was on a system tjat barely had anything at the time and ended up being free on PS Plus for a year so of course that game would make a splash. GR2 just released and disappeared completely. Do people even know ot had a free DLC story lol?I saw this from miles away.. not even the first one got much attention outside of it's niche following. I am surprised it got a sequal.. if anything the cool commercial was more interesting than the actual game.

Set to 60/90 days, set to US (or whatever territory, but don't do worldwide), add 4-5 new releases, select either google or YouTube search depending if you're curious about purchase intent or content consumption, and boom, there you go. General interest level comparisons with data support.
Can't imagine why.I know Ghost Recon sold incredible well, but i feel like i've heard nothing about it since it launched.
Honestly had no idea that game was even out already.Halo Wars 2
People talking about HZD are really far off.
No, they are not.
Thanks for the Suggestion , here are some comparison, People talking about HZD are really far off.

halo wars 2 is the Actual right answer, its the red line.
No, they are not.
Fair fucks to Last Guardian I think. Everyone saying that's disappeared but leaving out the fact that it released at least 2 months before any other game on that list.
Super Mario Run (Need I say more? The definition of a dud, even despite its initial popularity)
I was thinking about making a thread on this topic. This generation is full of completely unremarkable and forgettable titles that come and go with no noticeable impact whatsoever. Nothing has been released so far that shook or influenced the industry to the degree that Gears of War, Modern Warfare, Assassin's Creed, Oblivion, Bioshock, Fallout, Uncharted 2 or Mass Effect did. Maybe Breath of the Wild? Most blockbusters are designed so by the numbers that they end up being disposable and ultimately forgettable.

Not joking. But this came out? I rather enjoyed the original.Halo Wars 2
im just waiting for it to come to steam tbh
TLG, RE7...and lowkey Horizon.
Not joking. But this came out? I rather enjoyed the original.
All those post about Horizon are just trolling...
plenty of OT activities, the screenshot threads are buzzing with Horizon screenshot, it's still in the charts, it's still being updated, plenty of let's play in twitch, probably an expansion news at E3 that will created extended buzz, and most probably shoe in for either 1st or 2nd runner up GOTY discussion in december.....how's that 'forgotten'?
the correct answer is probably is Halo Wars 2 (remember that game? i don't) and Prey (where's the buzz?).
Scissorclips
Persona 5
Nobody is doing let's plays for starters. Nobody I follow anyways. That was the case for a long time thanks to Atlus. The buzz is dead outside the bubble.
Fire Emblem Echoes maybe? I feel like it's not turning as many heads as Fates did.
