Games that go down hill in the second half...

The Evil Within.

I like the game, but towards the end the game just throws more and more enemies at you and it just becomes a bit of a chore.

Grandia II

I really liked the game until the dungeons started to become too large and boring. Also it was too long, a problem many JRPGs have.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Every few years I start replaying it, but usually stop somewhere at the later dungeons. At first the game comes with some story, but then it feels like nothing but work.

I disagree with Far Cry 1. Only the last two levels are bad, as they become extremely hard and unfair. My favourite level of the game is "Boat" or how it's called, Where you have to do island hopping. That's relatively late in the game.

I'd say Arkham City but it's not like the first half was that much better.
Second half had a few decently constructed 'dungeons' along the way and a pretty great Freeze boss fight. It's a far sight better than Knight, which kneecaps the already hobbling hope that you'll get any interior level design more interesting than a forked road, and whose boss fights are hot garbage
or entirely nonexistent
.

Just Cause animation. If animations are as bad as turning your waiste like more than a dancer then your ass is gone in my book. Took it back two hours later after purchase. Unatural animations are the worst. When Elie interacted with the enviroment, I knew i had to finish that the game

Far Cry 3. After
Vaas dies
and you reach the second island the game just feels like it's played all its tricks and you just want to get it over with.

Dark Souls 1 is the poster child of this for me. Amazing first off, falls off a cliff post Anor Londo.

Uncharted 3 is also rough as the pacing is all out of wack. They frontload all of the puzzles in the earlier sections, and the ending is loaded with a ton of combat.
