I don't really want this to be an "Unreal 3 the thread" type of thing (unless you have hilarious examples) because that engine is able to produce unique looking games as well as samey ones. But if you're gonna post UE3 stuff use screenshots at least lol.
There is one example I want to focus on
Back on the GBA we got the amazing titles of Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2, what's funny as hell is that these games also share their engine / assets (because camelot developed both) with goddamn Mario Gold Advance Tour.
The visual and audio similarities between the two games is FREAKY AS HELL
Mario Golf
Golden Sun
They share the same yes/no dialogue prompt, tons of textures and assets and even sound effects.
Hell if you watch the opening sequence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfD8zZETVH8 which is the first couple minutes of this video you'd think it was ripped right out of golden sun.
Even the over wold of golden sun and the course overview of mario golf look remarkably similar. Especially the character sprites. The dialogue sequences are the same between the two games as well.
My favorite is that the spell effect when you hit a ball in mario golf is a scaled down version of the spell effect when you cast Gaia Blade.
