Games that should be on the current generation by now.

Top Spin
Virtua Tennis

Both had launch window games for the 360 and PS3 too, unbelievable there isn't a current-gen tennis game yet.

There are no Star Wars games out yet, this pisses me off even if there is a well known reason.

Wheres the online Mario Party at. I want to rage at the unfair distribution of bonus stars at the end of the game with people around the globe.

The thread of tears.

Another fleeting "vote" for Wipeout. A new PS console doesn't feel the same without a Wipeout. Ridge Racer... given how the latest ones have been... I think we can live without it until an indie or smaller developer makes a spiritual successor.

Outrun2 (this time without frame drops on milky way)
Wipeout
Ridge Racer
Numbered Suikoden
Should be the time for a new Armored Core too.

Virtua Fighter.

I'm surprised to see no Virtua Fighter for this generation so far.
The first two Virtua Fighters were released during the beginning of the Sega Saturn; Virtua Fighter 3 was released a month after the launch of the Dreamcast, while Virtua Fighter 5 was released a year after the PS3.
The only exception is Virtua Fighter 4, which was released 2 years after the launch of the PS2, but I doubt the next Virtua Fighter will be coming this year or next year.

Waiting for the Metroid we all deserve :(
And F-Zero

Sorry, your avatar was just too perfect not to do that.

Considering Kingdom Hearts (other than HD remixes) was completely absent from last gem, KH3 should have been out the first year IMO.

Devil May Cry. Definitely a new SSX. Let's hope they get it right this time.

We need more PS2-era franchise revivals.

Based on the time since their last game, Fallout 4. I mean, they haven't even announced it yet which means it's likely a 2016 game.

If they wait the same time after fallout 4 we might not even get a new ES until next generation.

Think about that for a second....

Halo: Reach :(

It's the best Halo game and the only one that hasn't been remastered/hasn't been announced as a remaster. I don't want to wait another 6 years for an anniversary edition.

Going on a tangent from this thread, I wish more old console games were ported to PC. Even if only to just preserve the game, make sure it can still be played in ten years time without having to keep around an ancient Xbox 360 or something. Some of the best games of the last generation were console exclusive, and many are not going to be remade over and over. So yeah, Red Dead Redemption, Halo: Reach and (despite the Remaster) The Last of Us and so on.

A new Crackdown would make me more interested in current gen consoles. :)

Manageable ones:

Ridge Racer
Grid Autorsport port/remake
Gran Turismo 6 port/remake
Mass Effect trilogy port/remake
Stick of truth port/remake
Most indies Xbla/Psn games like Braid, Brothers, Journey, Superstar dust, Sega Collections, Double Dragon neo, etc.

Realm of dreams:

ShenMue collection
Yakuza collection
Mega Man 11

Ridge Racer, there always has been a Ridge Racer in the beginning of each generation. (from PS1 onwards)

Thanks for making this the first post. The fact that I'm still playing RR7 nearly a decade later (over 200 hours and counting) with no sequel in sight is super frustrating, and that Vita port was just insulting. Come on Namco, I wanna go back to Ridge State.

A new Ace Combat would be nice, too.

Gran Turismo. Still think it's bullshit that they released GT6 on the PS3 a month after the PS4 launched. Now I get to wait until GT7, whenever the hell that comes out.

GT6 was going to be unfinished shit on any platform. Didn't matter where they released, you would still be waiting for 7 if you are after a finished game.

Metroid. I mean there was a time when Metroid was getting the biggest amount of releases at Nintendo right below Mario and Pokemon.

From 2002 with the first Prime to 2007 with the last there were 7 unique games (Zero Mission was an extensive remake) released.

Then in 2009 came a complete collection that became rare followed by a flagship title (it was presented as one and closed E3) in Metroid Other M.

It just seems with Retro busy with other stuff and Sakamoto (who was responsible for the 2D games and other M) not wanting to work on them there's no dedicated team at Nintendo to make the games unlike essentially every Nintendo franchise still releasing installments.

I think all the negatively to Other M really hurt the future of Metroid more than if it had just bombed. Nintendo probably doesn't want to give it to Sakamoto yet at the same time they're probably afraid about outsourcing it to a third-party. At this point I'll happily take Other M 2.

Easy answer: Soul Caliber - It's the only fighting I play, and it is a staple.

I also crave a new poker game. WSoP: Full House Pro was pretty good, but had some issues. But since it is shutting down come March, I expect it wasn't a big earner. Maybe they have a new one in the hopper, but I doubt it.

As an Xbox One owner, for the love of God please bring a good MLB game to the platform!
