Games you played on mute

Half the time if there's a music slider I'll generally lower it to 0, leaving sfx audible. Depends on the game. The Witcher 3 for example is quite a less interesting experience for me without the score (and in fact has some audio bugs in the B&W expansion if lowered to '0'), whereas with some platformer I may want to play my own selection of music (did this for Shovel Knight, Bit Trip Runner, nidhogg, Ori, and others).

If I'm finding a boss challenging after multiple attempts I'll typically mute the game completely. Makes it easier to focus.

Zelda BOTW.

The walking sound (especially in the shrines) annoys me when coming out of the little speakers. I tend to play it whilst watching TV thus haven't used headphones to hear whether it is more tolerable.

All the Hexcells games and lately Paint it Back. I like playing them while listening to music moslty, really relaxing!
Also Crusader Kings II, but that's not always the case since I really enjoy its bso

Metroid Other M: I played in a monitor without audio output. I listened the soundtrack later. Didn't miss anything good.

Revelations Persona: I had to turn the sound off because I couldn't stand the damm combat song, I hated it.

Dragon Quest Builders and Heroes. I know music is subjective but I kind of fear for the sanity of someone who actually wants to listen to that obnoxious mess of tooting horns.

I almost always set Muic to 0 volume in games, good to see I'm not the only one.

I can't stand listening to the same music over and over and over.

Depends on the mood and what I'm doing. I usually love bumpin Witcher 3's soundtrack and just listening to NPC's converse, but as I wrapped up the story for the second time and was merely cleaning up trophies, I muted it for my own music.

It happens.
