Games You've Beaten in August

Been dipping into the backlog this month and managed to beat these 3 classics!

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - GC
Wario Land II - Gameboy (3DS VC)
Mega Man 2 - NES (Wii U VC)

One Piece Unlimited World Red (PS3)
Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed (PS3)
Tales of Xillia 2 (PS3)
Grisaia no Kajitsu (PC)
inFAMOUS: First Light (PS4)

Overall a pretty good month for me: Planescape: Torment, Far Cry 3, The Walking Dead Season 2 Episodes 4 and 5 and The Wolf Among Us Episode 5.

Also put a ton of hours into Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition but I have yet to beat it, so it doesn't count, but will surely appear in the September thread!

I got through Rogue Legacy on Vita and a new game + run earlier in the month. I just finished my first time through The Last of Us and Left Behind on PS4 this weekend. I was so very happy with both games in such different ways.

Now to make some time to play and hopefully get the Platinum in Infamous First Light before Destiny comes out.

I beat Dishonored, Infamous and Rorona Plus. Enjoyed all of them.

EDIT: Forgot I finished TWD Season 2 as well.

I'm so happy! I played many games but I played a bunch of Binding of Isaac and finally achieved Platinum God after 120 hours! :D

I've only beaten games in PS3 in August:

Beyond: Two Souls
Metal Gear Rising: Revengance
Battlefield 4 campaign (have 200+ hours in MP, but just recently beated the campaign lol)

And now I realise that I haven't beaten too many games. Damn, I though I was making progress with the backlog

*Looks at July thread*

Huh, don't know why I put down Rayman 3, I didn't finish it then, but I did finish it this month

PS3:
The Last of Us
Braid

Xbox 360:
Rayman 3
The Walking Dead Season 2
DmC: Devil May Cry
Gears of War 3

3DS:
Steamworld Dig
Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon
Super Mario 3D Land (Unlocked the final level)

Mirror's Edge
Yes it's flawed, but I found it very enjoyable. It's actually one of my favorite games now. Hoping the prequel, sequel, interquel, or whatever new entry announced last year improves on it.

BioShock Infinite
The ending blew me away. Unfortunately, that's the only thing that did. Columbia is an interesting setting, but it's truly just a backdrop. Everything is just a backdrop. It was also an instance in where I only continued through the game for its story. The gameplay, or rather, gunplay since that's all there really is, was not engaging.

Dark Souls - An amazing experience, and instantly shoots Bloodborne up to the top of my most anticipated games list. I don't know why I waited so long to sit down and play it.

Metro 2033 Redux - A forgettable, tedious FPS. Never going to play it again

P.T. Was amazing, then drove me crazy for a few hours until I plugged in a mic and then finally got the fucking phonecall.

Sound Shapes, got the platinum. Death mode wasn't that hard really, only a handful took longer then 10 minutes of retries.

Shovel Knight was super awesome. Reminded me of a much more forgiving MegaMan. Died under 100 times, which is a slight accomplishment. Already started a new game+.

Bioshock Infinite
Tomb Raider
Gunstar Heroes
Link to the Past
Kirby Triple Deluxe

I enjoyed everything except Bioshock which I thought was mediocre.

10 in August has been kinda my theme in years past as well

PC
The Wolf Among Us: Episode 3 (PC)
The Wolf Among Us Episode 4 (PC)
The Wolf Among Us Episode 5 (PC)

Vita
Doki Doki Universe
Proteus
Rayman Origins

X360/XBLA
Radiant Silvergun (XBLA)
Trials Fusion (XBLA)

Retro
Double Dragon (Genesis)
Felix The Cat (GB)

Infamous Second Son second play through on expert, with bad karma. Finally Platinum Trophy!
Uncharted 2 - almost Platinum Trophy (only beating on Crushing left)
Battlefield 4 PS4 - Platinum Trophy + 100% on all DLCs

Liked:

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Infamous: First Light
The Walking Dead Season 2 (Finishing Episode 5 means I finally "finished" it.)
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2

Didn't Like:

Proteus - Less of a game, more of an "experience" Almost like doing drugs.

Very slow month for me. There could have been one more, but I finished replaying DanganRonpa a couple of hours too late

WiiU:
Lego City Under Cover
While I didn't finish it, I'm probably done Super Mario 3d World. I'm near the end of world 4-5 and and my 44 year old reflexes just aren't cutting it.

PS3:
Lego Movie The Game, story mode only but I'm not going to 100% it like i did with Lego Batman, Batman 2 and probably will do with Lego Marvel.

PC:
Octodad
Mountain (yes it does have an end game)

Android:
DiscoZoo

A bunch:

360:
Saints Row: The Third
Dead Rising
Shadow Complex
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
Walking Dead: Season 2, Episode 5

PS3:
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Tomb Raider: Underworld

PS4:
inFamous: Second Son

Highlights for the month were going through the Tomb Raider remake some 15 years after playing the original, and taking that trip down memory lane. inFamous was a lot of fun, and my first real next-gen experience. And Shadow Complex is simply an excellent game. I had a great time going through and trying to find all of the power-ups to get to 100% completion, which I eventually did.

Lowlights were Dead Rising and Halo. In the case of Dead Rising, I think it was a game I probably would have enjoyed back when it came out, but too much time has passed. I just could not get into it at all. In the case of Halo, I just didn't find it to be a good campaign. First few missions were alright; the rest of the game, not so much.

Wolfenstein TNO - PC
Rayman Legends 100%'d - VITA (still working on the platinum tho)
TLOU:RE - PS4
Stick it to the Man - PS4
Resogun - PS4 (platinum)

Not very much but summers are busy time

PS4
Metro 2033
Strider
Also got The Last of Us platinum

Vita
Ys: Memories of Celceta

I'm almost finished Metro: Last Light as well

PS4:
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls

PC:
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
...I guess? I leveled from 80-90 and called it quits pretty quick after that.

Tales of Xillia 1 and 2. Even though I enjoyed them, I don't think they were really good. After the disaster that was ToGf, I'll have to remove tales from my favorite series. Maybe zestiria will be awesome, but i wouldn't bet on it.

Danganronpa. My GOTY. I was hooked from the first second to the last. I'm really hyped for the sequel. Maybe a remaster for consoles will happen one day. I'd love to see the art in 1080p (or 4k).

PS4
Diablo 3

That is it, hasn't been a big month for me. Just playing Titanfall, and Diablo patiently waiting for Destiny. Also school started, and I was in summer school at the start of august.

3DS
- Yoshi's New Island
Extremely lazy and uninspired sequel to one of the finest platformers ever made.
- Mighty Gunvolt
Came free with Azure Striker Gunvolt. Very tame.
- Azure Striker Gunvolt
Very satisfied with this.

Vita
- Mutant Mudds Deluxe
Quite enjoyable.

PS4
- P.T.
Can I count this one? It's only a playable teaser, but I poured a LOT of time into it and it's been one of the most enjoyable, unique, and significant experiences of the year for me. Love it. And scary as shit.
- Strider
This game kept reminding me of Shadow Complex out of all Metroid clones (probably because it has kind of a similar setting, visually), and it doesn't compare favorably.
Which is not to say it's bad, because it isn't, but it's just kind of... average. Nothing really separates it from its ilk.

DS
- Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Still not as good as the first game, but I don't think anything ever will be.
It's much better than the second game though, so that helps.

Wii U
- The Wonderful 101
Already played this last year, but jeebus it's just SO GOOD.
THE most underrated game of last year, no question.

PS2
- Fatal Frame
In preparation for Fatal Frame 5 at the end of this month!

GBA:

Megaman Battle Network 1
Megaman Battle Network 2
Megaman Battle Network 3: Blue

PS1:

Symphony of the Night

SNES:

Megaman X

I think there are others, but I ping-ponged back and forth between so many games I can't remember.

Guacamelee - PS Vita
Spelunky - PS Vita
Rogue Legacy - PS Vita

This is what happens when I travel for half the month

I'm going to go ahead and attach scores for the games beaten as that is how I have them formattes on a different site.

Motocross Madness (360)- 4.5
Alpha Protocol (360)- 5.0
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (360)- 8.0
Proteus (Vita)- 7.0
Playstation Allstars:Battle Royale (Vita)- 7.5
Worms (360)- 5.5
Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS)- 10.0
Bomberman Live (360)- 6.0
Dead Nation (PS4)- 7.0

Very weird month for me. Trying to get through my backlog, but this month really shows somw of the meh games I have to complete.

I beat Ys 1, 2, Oath, and all characters in Origin on nightmare this month :) Best month ever.

I forgot these threads existed

Ys 1 was ok, served as a nice starting point.
7.0

Ys 2 was better than 1 in every single way possible.
8.5

Oath had amazing music and fun boss fights really enjoyed it even if I died a lot of on a lot of the fights.
9.5

Orgins was by far my favorite of the 4 I beat. Having 3 characters to play through with I'd say the best boss fights in the series made it a freaking blast. By the time I was done with the game I had almost 60 hours invested.
10 :)

Sniper Elite 3 (PS4)- cool game. I may replay it again on a harder difficulty one day. I liked the overall level designs and the controls. The story wasn't anything to write home about, but I enjoyed this game and would definitely like a sequel to it.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes - I really enjoyed this one as well. I like Kiefer Sutherland as Snake (blasphemy) and am really looking forward to The Phantom Pain. I like the open area aspects and the new control scheme. Two thumbs up.

Xenoblade Chronicles...FINALLY got stuck on
Disciple Lorithia
for far too long. Amazing game, worth every minute of the 73 hours it took.

1. Mass Effect 1
2. TLOU (the main story not left behind)
3. KZSF (The campaign because you cannot beat multiplayer games haha)

Good month for me. 3 beaten and 1 started.

PS1
Tomorrow Never Dies

PS2
Black

X360
Bayonetta

I loved Black, even though it's wafer-thin story seemed like an afterthought. Those guns felt great...Criterion proved they could translate well to a shooter.

It was a Wii U heavy-month for me.

Super Metroid (Wii U VC)
Mario & Luigi - Superstar Saga (Wii U VC)
The Wonderful 101 (Wii U)

Don't think I would have beat both VC games without Off-TV Play. The Wonderful 101 was awesome and jumped into my Top Ten.
